Are you guys aware that the 'pirated' version of Bioware games always work better than the legit ones, at least in my experience, since the introduction of online registration, DRM nasty things, whatever the industry is pushing at the moment?

It's actually a smart move to 'find' a copy of every BW game after you have shown your support to the devs by buying a legitimate copy.

And such a move is not illegal in most countries. Not in my country of residence anyway (thank you 'copie de sauvegarde' legal...thingie).

I played DA 2 (almost didn't finish it, it was so bad).

I played Mass Effect 3 (unfortunately, I DID finish that one)

After those two horrid games (for very different reasons) I swore NEVER to buy another Bioware game ever again.  No intention to buy DA:I at all.

Then, people whose opinions I trusted said the game was great...so I bought it last week.

I now sit with 35 hours invested in the game...with a broken inventory that will never allow me to pick up any item in the game ever again, and will force my character and the rest of my party to (attempt to) finish the game without ever getting new weapons or armor.

And THAT'S why I'm stupid.

Never another dime of my money, Bioware/EA.  Never.

Having a bad day?

It happens to me as well now and then. But I know the next day might give me another chance, so I patch up.

Having a bad life is serious. You can't wait for the next to be better.

Just love the reactions.

His copy has a new problem never seen before -> He is a pirate and doesn't have the game legally!

Just... Wow! Guys, you saved all the gaming industry of the world! They will never have to made patchs or fix their games anymore! They will just have to say that current bugs, glitchs and corrupted files, all happends because they are pirates who doesn't pay their games! It's fabulous!

I have a 360 version of the game as well. I have all the Mass Effect series and dragon age 2 (Origins wasn't in sell in my small countryside shop) and, no, I don't want to give lot of personal informations in the World Wide Web just to prove it.

About the "save and load" thing, to use this trick and saying it solves some problems, you must admit one thing : If you have to do that, your copy of the game is brocken. I have not finished DAI for a simple reason : each time I go far in the game, a mortal bug occur that made a big wall and make the story impossible to work! Each time I start over the whole game the mortal bug comes closer of the beginning. I have not seen this bug in any other threads so I know they are rare bugs that ruin the enjoyement. Waiting for the patchs, like everybody else.

I understand the guy that made this thread because I'm like him : I buy a full-price game and doesn't have any fun at all.

Bingo!

That's actually exactly what the industry PR is doing, imho.  Talking to politics, CEOs, their indirect employees sorry, game journalists, managing Twitter accounts, using Twitch to promote their products, sorry, art.......and so on.

It's starting to be slightly, but just slightly, you know -nothing too flashy or aaaaawwwwwwwesooooome, no, no, subtlety is EA's motto, right?- obvious to people.

Sorry, but that's the stupidest thing I've read in recent memory. If I don't save enough I should expect a game to glitch to the point of being unplayable? You ****** kidding me? What, in the name of Zues' butthole, would cause a game to stop working if you don't save enough? I've seem some truly gymnastic fanboy rationalization for the sorry state of this game...but that takes the ****** cake.

Also, I save after every battle...wait, was that TOO much saving? How silly of me. How could I ever think that a game could function correctly if I'm saving al the time?

Rude. Plain rude. We all have grudges with the game mate, but there's no need to be rude and condescending to people who reply to you with good intent. If you don't want people replying to you, don't post in the forums.

.....I'm not disputing whether or not the game is broken, but there are facts that are just...silly.  Fact a)Anyone who has played a game since...uh...ever, should know that you have to save it, or you risk having to start over at the beginning.  A simple save/load fix.  Fact 2) there are more serious bugs out there that can't simply be fixed by reloading a save.

No one, and I just checked, accused him of pirating.  Someone made the point that they would like to see what games a person owns.  Then I brought the point forward that it's very possible that pirated games can be broken by the means in which they are pirated, thereby creating bugs that no one else may have had before, unless, of course, you have a subscription to a particular pirate group that will attempt to actually fix what they breach.  Admittedly, I'm not that knowledgeable in Piracy, but they are BREAKING the game to unlock it.  Maybe there are some super elite folks out there who can fix it, but, in the grand scheme, it's still being broken.  (please, don't try to educate me, I'd rather not know).

How is a small icon under your avatar "personal information"?  (They're linked to your Origin account anyway...)Nothing about what games you own is personally identifiable.  I've owned each chapter of DA and ME, oh no, NOW YOU KNOW WHO I AM@!@$!@!@

Just silly.

No it's not just link to your account. It's linked to each and every of your individual game profiles. Some people, including me, don't like to have such information public. It's as simple as that. Besides, unless you do multiplayer, you don't really have any reason to link individual profiles or even have them some times. I dunno, if the data was derived from the "games owned" page, I'd personally be fine with it. But not this way.

I've spent 200+ Hours on two playthroughs. I've had the occasional bug where everyone looked like paper dolls, but nothing even close to game-breaking. However, compared to Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas, I think Bioware has done pretty well in the QA department.

ME3 is a good game if you remove the post=Marauder Shields bit. Yeah, you don't get to spend much time with most of the ME2 (the best game of the trilogy imo) crew. The actions in ME3 feel significant when you do them, it is only at the end of the game that you feel like the game designers are mocking you for your efforts.
