This may be a silly question, but I can't find any info anywhere.

How do I know what level item I am going to craft based on the schematic I'm using?  I don't see anywhere that indicates what level the resulting crafted item will be.  Also, how do I know if the item will have slots for arms/legs or grips/pommels?

Can I manipulate this?  I'm sure the tier of the schematic has some affect, like maybe a level range?  I don't want to dump a bunch of materials into crafting a weapon or something and then not be able to use it for 5 levels, or worse have it be 5 levels beneath me.

Thanks!

Well, basically anything you craft, regardless of its level can be used.

For example: I am a level 12 Knight Enchanter and I went and got the T3 schematics for the weapon I wanted (Seer Staff). The level of the Seer Staff is like a level 22 or something I think? But I can equip it on my level 12 mage. Even though Rare and Unique level 18 items I find require level 15 mages.

So... I wouldn't worry about your level or your gear's level. Craft what you want and throw it on your characters. You should be good!

Here you go. I took the liberty of adding every single schematic manually using cheatengine.. here they are.. schematic plus image.

First of all, thanks for the solid replies here, very helpful so far.

The only mystery remaining for me is this:  I know the main slot is going to be dmg or armor, BUT how do I know what the secondary slots are going to add to the item (besides actually trying it out)?  For instance, lets say on a weapon; will one slot always be an attribute (cunning, dex etc.) and the other something like %to crit/flanking damage/bleed/stagger etc.?  Or on armor, one slot attribute, other melee def/ranged def/magic resist etc.?

Thanks

Yes, The schematics are set. If it says Utility it will always be utility, if it says offence, it will always be offence, if it says defence, it will always be defence.

OK, so here's a half-ass table I put together for the offense and utility slots for weapon schematics.  It is broken down by offense/utility slot, metal/cloth/leather, bonus and required material.  I hope this is beneficial for some of you.  When I have time, I'll create one for Armor.

Here is one we prepared earlier:

and here is another.

If you click on the individual schematics it takes you to a page that shows you every combination you can attack to that item.

I was unaware of that first section.  Thats pretty much what I need.  My only suggestion would be to order it based on tier, instead of alphabetically.  Other than that, ace!

You'd have to speak with fex about that, she is the one building that section. I am working on skyhold customisation, puzzle walkthroughs and collectibles.
