Currently my Assassin rogue is using;

  • 10% chance hidden blades on hit
  • +50% Stealth speed (been farming lurkers for the +75% but no joy so far)
  • + Guard on hit

I'm pleased with the first two, but the guard seems kind of a wasted slot since I'm mostly in stealth and very rarely take a hit.

Recently had a Great Bear drop a fade-touched that gives 50 stamina on kill, seems like that might be useful to me since I'm often waiting for stamina to regen, even with the bonuses from Dance of Death (regain 50 stamina on kill) and Looked Like it Hurt (regain 10 stamina on crit).

I'm wondering whether the 50 stamina regained from the Great Bear Hide will stack with Dance of Death, giving me +100 with each kill?

Also I read about fade-touched Halla Leather which takes you into stealth when not attacking, does anyone have any experience with this? It sounds useful but not sure if it's really worth it since I Was Never Here removes the cooldown anyway.

Also any other suggestions for masterwork bonuses are welcome, thanks for any help.

My main hand has the 10% for 5 Hidden Blades, which is awesome.  Off hand has Heal 1% on hit.  It's decent, but I've been keeping my eye out for something better.  Already used the Walking Bomb and Chain Lightning ones on squaddies.

I'm currently using

Fade Touched Dawnstone - 10% chance of Walking Fortress for 5 seconds

Fade Touched Snofleur - 10% chance of Horn of Valor for 12 seconds

Fade touched Fustian Velvet - 10 percent chance of Hidden blades with 5 extra hits

I prefer dawnstone in pretty much all scenarios on rogues. Most foes can chunk through your guard anyways in 1 to 2 strikes because of your lower health and armor compared to a warrior, and you can still be cc'd and weakened by enemies. When dawnstone is active you can't be knocked down, and don't take any hits at all.

I'm unsure to whether fade touched Bloodstone is better than Snofleur.

Well it turns out currently there's a bug where dance of death doesn't trigger from Deathblow or Twin Fangs, which is likely why my stamina kept running low, so 'til that's fixed I'll use the great bear hide (which I've tested and does seem to be working).

I have the Snofleur Horn of Valor on my tank, and I assume the buff applies to the whole party? So it wouldn't seem worth having it again.
Health on hit and walking fortress (I would go for the Everite version, prefer the colour :P) fall under the same category as guard on hit for me, in that since I'm not being attacked anyway, healing/defence is wasted (dragons are a whole different ballgame of course).

I avoid chain lightning for the most part since I play with friendly fire, but walking bomb is one I hadn't though about, same with Immolate and explode on kill. Does anyone know if these incur friendly fire? It seems really inconsistently done and I'm still figuring it out (Dual-Blade aoe attacks don't for example, though I had assumed they would.)

Edit: Well testing seems to show that no friendly fire comes from Chain Lightning, Immolate or Walking bomb masterworks. I avoided these until now because the spells cause massive friendly fire (well the first two do, not sure about Walking Bomb since I've not tried it) and I assumed it would be the same for the items. Oh well, at least I know now.
