They should just make a giant dragon that's like the size of the other 10 combined and have it talk in a terrifying Benedict Cumberbatch voice. I'd buy that.

I'd argue that they should take inspiration from what Skyrim did with Dawnguard in terms of being able to adapt it to the main world

No, no, no, no, no.
Add extra "no" for every other point you brought. I disagree with them all. Except... Wait, is that "bring back Darkspawn" on the top? That's an exception.

Why not mounted combat? Etc

Mounts would upset some sort of balance.
Dwarven ruins = spider nests. KTHXBAI.
Staff attacks are pointless, if you mean CQC and not the regular ranged Mage dance.
Stealth attacks are already in the game, especially if Assassin Rogue.
Weapon sets would ultimately mean even more swapping stuff out, right. So, rather nope, considering the 8-ability limit is there for a reason.
If we could get 20-30 ability slots like in Origins (and I always filled them out...) I'd be down. But not if it means I have to stick two different fighting styles in eight slots.
My DW Rogue has three Dagger abilities, three Tempest abilities, Stealth and Mark of the Rift. If I wanted to switch to Bow during the fight, I would have to drop some Dagger abilities or some Tempest abilities. Stealth and MotR are undroppable in my eyes. Maybe if you switch our MotR for Thousand Cuts (in my case)

You're asking for things that would be best served in an expansion minimum, ,ore likely another game entirely
DLC is normally new additions to existing features, not a set of new mechanics

They already borrowed plenty from Lord of the Rings.

Just saw the five armies and there was so much that reminded me of da. Not talking book (yes i know it was written well before blah blah). Talking armored orcs and their sole desire to kill=darkspawn and over the top spells with staff attacks and mounted dwarfs and elves etc.
The first Lord of the Ring Trilogy was out way before Origins too, it's an obvious influence which they tried to loose when redesigning everything for DA2.
there is a ton of good ideas in the one movie that should be incorporated
Bring back the evil/feared darkspawn and their pets
Mounts that can attack
Deep dwarven ruins
Staff attacks
Stealth attacks
2 sword fighting and switching to bows
with the exception of the mounts, they already did that in the previous games. I dobt they'll come back to it but why not.

I hope so! Start filling that big empty world ![]()

No.
Why do people always ask for stuff from other fantasy universes? Game of Thrones, Lord of the Rings and so on would only dilute Dragon Age. In the end you'd have some bland, generic fantasy mush that tried to please everyone. It would fail spectecularly at it.
Dragon Age has some excellent points and its lore keeps it interesting.

No thanks.
This.
The engine couldn't handle it on one map anyways.

DA:I has/is already been "influenced" alot imo, the DLC needs to remain free of that taint tbh, if it can

Or...or, follow me on this. The ten dragons combine to form a giant humanoid with the dragon's heads as a head, hands and feet. Then the Inquisition calls fourth elder bears that transform into giant body parts that come together to form a giant humanoid mech that the Inquisition can pilot.

Pretty sure we have enough straight female romance options as is.

To the first point: There is darkspawn in DA:I.
Who are not quite worthy of the title "Darkspawn".
The only Darkspawn I considered "true" are the ones in Origins. Proper monsters, those guys.
