Where are we getting Kasumi's age from?
Was wondering about it myself, don't recall a specific date mentioned and the wiki has nothing.

Shepard enlisted at 18. After training in Basic and Officer Cadet school, Shepard is 19 and a 2nd Lieutenant. Shepard then probably went to University on an Alliance scholarship and came back after 3 years at 22 and promoted to 1st Lieutenant. Between age 22-23, he/she takes part in the defence of Elysium/survives Akuze/commands a platoon on Torfan and for his/her efforts gets a promotion to Staff Lieutenant by age 23. After gaining more experience and going for further command courses, by age 26 Shepard is a Lieutenant Commander. At age 29, Shepard promotes to Staff Commander when he/she is appointed as SSV Normandy XO.
Unrealistic. I'd wager that beyond special circumstances, you still require a 4 year degree to commission. I'd hope they don't have officers younger than 21.
IMO, Shepard enlists at 18, works as an Enlisted Man for a few years, earning recognition for his skill, competence, and leadership, attending special schools and training, and . After Akuze, he ends up at OCS after completing his degree, and commissions as a Special Warfare Officer, retrains in the specialty, and promotes quickly.

Nice headcannon, but Shepard was never Promoted above lieutenant commander. Mind you, outside akuze/elysium/torfan there's precious little information about Shepard's service, We never learn what other engaments or operations shepard's part for example, instead Shepard's serive is always brought back to his psychological profile. However, in Conversation with Ashley and Kaidan we do learn what boot camp shepard went and who his/her drill instructor was.
Surely SPECTRE rank outclasses anything else.
Surely SPECTRE rank outclasses anything else.
SPECTE is not military rank but a rather a status give by the council to an indvidual. A spectre holds no offical power over the military, the Crew of the normandy follow Shepard because he/she's a navy officer.
My Shepard is a Colonist. It says she enlists a few years later. I assume she goes to college then takes a couple years to try to work, then goes into OCS at 25.

Yeah, like Massively said, that is very unrealistic.
Shepard going from enlisted to Lieutenant Commander in 10 years, is......strange....but not impossible I guess.

Technically speaking, a Spectre has the ability to order around Admirals if its prevalent to a mission. And if they don't listen, said Spectre can easily repeat the order to their subordinate over their still warm corpse and not face any kind of retaliation whatsoever. Spectres are representatives of the Council. Their word is absolute law in council space, including over any military.
And btw, that is technically headcanon on your part. The crew follow Shepard because they're assigned to the Normandy. And Shepard has been given control of the Normandy to perform his duties as a Spectre.

Well, me being in the crowd that believes that everyone is probably going to be running off US military ranks in about a hundred years, Enlisted to LCDR isn't unheard of. You just have to promote very rapidly. Like, enlist, and as soon as your Basic Training is completed, go to OCS, commission, and then work your way up as a high speed officer. In the Navy, your only hope to get that far that fast is to be an unrestricted line officer either in an aviation or surface warfare slot, or to be an Intel Officer or liaison for the ONI.
Surely SPECTRE rank outclasses anything else.
It does.

Said spectre has the ability to requisition whatever they want from any Council species for the pursuit of their mission. They act as the arms and eyes of the council, with their full sanction and support. If the Spectre says something, the Council says it. As well, any species on the council follows their laws and rulings for the most part. They aren't going to second guess a Spectre. So while said Spectre isn't necessarily within the chain of command, they are very rarely denied if the Spectre needs to requisition their services.
Shepard's birthday is 11th of April 2154 officially on the timeline. Which makes him 32 in 2186. Miranda was born somewhere in 2150 which makes her 36, Anderson was born in 2137 so 49, Joker is actually only a year younger than Shepard, I imagine Zaeed is somewhere around Andersons age. Ash, April 14 2158, Kasumi is 26 since she was born in 2160, Tali and Jack both are 25.
As far as I can tell the timeline is pretty official since its backed up by lore and various Cerberus news network stories that were done.
