Thirded. Well, I didn't think he was boring, but I do think his character had tons of missed opportunities to be more interesting. Because he's the kinda guy who's brain would be so fun to pick, but they don't let you do that much. 

 

admittedly I would've traded in one sexytime romance cutscene for one where we got to have an in-depth discussion

It just works out. Immediately. His attachment to the qun is irrelevant. His supposed promiscuity is irrelevant. There that weird, "we do it the way i say" thing, but even that doesnt end up mattering.

 

Honestly, best part of that romance, to me, was getting to see my lady qunari naked. Which he had little to do with.

 

Im glad you like him though. I havent found a romance in this game i gravitate to yet very much. I miss Merrill...

Oh yeah he does have 3 sex scenes...well I like all of them so

 

But being able to pick his brain would've been interesting. You can do a little of it during the stick convo if you choose to talk it out but again disappointing.

I wasn't really replying on a post by post thing, but rather a small essay on the subject to address the topic in general.

I don't want to derail the derailing, but I feel I should say one more thing: if you go around judging people, fictional or otherwise, for their personal sexual choices, some people are going to judge your judging. You're entitled to your opinions, but so is everyone else on the forums. That's just how it works.

Yeah, if you're gonna open with casual sex being wrong, and you're not prepared to have your opinion judged, don't bother posting it. Few people were being disrespectful, most were just making jokes.

And that's fine. People can disagree all they want with my arguments. It's when things get on the personal side that I don't like. They aren't entitled to personal insults, teasing, or being disrespectful.

So i hear. Blackwall probably isnt for me, but my next playthrough is for Solas.

 

Alas, my choices for female LIs are much more limited. Cassandra is ok. I have yet to try Josaphine.... I still miss Merrill.

I'm sorry if you took offense to my view, but I was not intentionally being insulting. Not liking something doesn't not liking people who do said something. I never went around calling people derogatory or insulting terms. Meanwhile others in this thread can't say the same.

Let me give you an imperfect analogy: when people come onto these forums saying 'I don't hate gay people, I just don't like them having gay sex in video games I play' then they get dogpiled by half the forum pointing out that it's none of their damn business that gay people - fictional or otherwise - have gay sex. Saying 'I don't hate people who have casual sex, I just don't like it when they have casual sex in video games I play' is not fundamentally different.

Not really. The Chargers are valuable and have a ton of War Table missions. You just have no choice but to take The Iron Bull with them.
