...but that person would be a homophobe.
Not liking to see gay sex makes someone a homophobe now? Does that mean not liking to see straight sex makes someone a heterophobe?

Nobody sees the gay sex in Dragon Age unless they choose to. And it's exactly the same with the casual sex. They might hear about characters having gay sex or casual sex. And I don't understand why the type sex that various fictional characters choose to have should be a problem.

Hey, I don't like odd race combos for sex myself.. and apparently that's racist.
Even though I'm mixed race myself and will happily get in a brawl with real racists. All my credibility as a human being destroyed because of a video game opinion.
Same kind of deal maybe. False equivalence. But I do have a choice. I acknowledge that. No reason to get in anyone's face about it.

You changed the example. The original example was not wanting there to be gay sex at all in a game they play. Which would make the person a homophobe yes.
So let me get this straight: Months ago I argued against there being sex scenes in the game. You're saying I am thus a homophobe and a heterophobe? I guess I imagined all those times I supported there being representation for everyone.

Because I don't like it. Just like I'm sure homosexuals(since you brought up homosexual content is being used as the comparison) will complain if there are things they are against being in the game. We only have to look at the hatred to Dorian's dad to see that. So why should I have to be silent about it when they can complain all they want?

I'm not sure if the get in anyone's face about it is to me or to others. If the former, I just posted how I didn't like it, people responded, things got heated, and thus the situation that happened. So I wasn't getting in anyone's face about it, but just posting my opinion on the matter.
What's going on here?

Homophobes and racists. Come to get your children.
... somehow I feel bad about this post.

No one is forcing you to watch the gay sex. No one. If you happen to see it, you purposely entered a gay relationship in DA:I.
See quote above, that was today. You're not talking about sex scenes in general, you're talking about gay sex in particular and not liking to see it. Don't crawl back to month ago.
Again, no one is forcing you to do the gay stuff. No one is forcing you to watch ANY sex scenes whatsoever.
And I don't see your point about 'them', the gay people. Are you seriously arguing here now that some gay people have object to straight sex in the game?
Well apparantly, your opinion was not very well liked. And since you posted in a public forum, people are going to disagree with you, especially if that opinion is *bleep*.
People need to stop acting that 'having an opinion' is the get out jail free card to say anything and everything. It's not. You're entitled to having your opinion, but if it's a horribe one, you will hear it.
You realize the entire discussion of gay sex was a comparison for the actual subject being discussed, yes? We aren't actually discussing whether there should or shouldn't be homosexual content in the game.

I don't think it's racist, but I do think it's weird that you care enough about other people making dwarf characters and romancing Cassandra to complain about it.
(This thread is becoming a vortex of all the forum arguments I should know better than to get involved it. Quick, someone bring up The Witcher or talk about Blackwall's dog!)

Well, yes, but whether people listen to them or just say 'that's ridiculous' and post derailing .gifs is going to depend on what they're against and whether they can make an actual argument for getting rid of it. If I came on the forums and said 'I hate elves and they should take them out of the next game' without making a reasonable argument for why the elves should go, then I wouldn't expect a favourable response. 'I don't like this' is not, in an of itself, a good argument for taking something out of a game.
People get to express their opinions here, as long as those opinions don't violate the TOS. They do not get to express their opinions without other people disagreeing and arguing with them.

You're right. I shouldn't get carried away with that. Sometimes I just state my opinion.. then it gets out of control, trying to explain it, then defend it, then fight for it.. then just get belligerent about it. :\ Best to avoid discussions as much as possible probably.
Don't use such bad examples then. It makes you come of rather retarded.
I didn't bring it up as an example. I just responded to the comparison someone else provided.
Also, please don't use that word. That term is a derogatory word for people who have mental disabilities.

As I said, I am perfectly fine with people disagreeing. With how society views sex today, I'd be surprised if nobody did.
I just don't like it when posters make other posters the butt of a joke or personally insult or tease them.
Plus it goes against the Site Rules.

Okay. Um....
Ah, I got it.
"The Witcher series is better because it is more mature and would actually show the dog being hanged."
Like that?

I think we need to talk more about how much better the game would be if Corypheus had a sinister song-and-dance number.
Maybe right when he picks you off the ground in Haven. It could be a like a ballet routine.
Well. This thread is certainly a thing that exists.

You're right, this topic takes precedence over all else.
I think Bioware should create an alternate version of the game where every scene is a musical number.

So do we keep Trevor Morris? I think Corypheus could do well with Danny Elfman.

I was thinking Alan Menken, personally. Let's turn this full-on Disney.

Yeah maybe. I was kinda ripping off Nightmare before Christmas.
I personally feel the Dragon Age series would benefit from a Les Misèrables type musical where nearly every line is sung. It just feels more epic ya know
