Oh good grief! Since in reality the percentages of people who are into the same gender are pretty low compared to the percentages of people who are into the opposite gender, even if you are a bi/pansexual who happens to prefer the same gender as yourself, if you just plain want to get your jollies, your odds are going to be better if you look to hook up with someone of the opposite gender.

Uh, as for the rest of the stuff in your post....I'm sorry you got caught up in the review hype about Bull.  I do agree that IB could have used more scenes/interactions, but overall he's a well crafted character, not a nonstop jokester bro who bangs all the people, and....I really prefer that....

Bull's codex entry is a letter from one noblewoman to another, with some great hints at what he was up to with them, too lol.

 

Bull is not making a statement with his sexuality. He's not proving something to society or trying to cover himself in a fancy word to explain his feels, or anything like that.

 

People are interested in having sex with him -- he has sex with them. It's really simple. If it's mostly women, then he'll do mostly women. He certainly doesn't hold back from doing men, either. He doesn't even blink, because he really doesn't give a crap what you have in your pants, he'll still make it work.

 

Iron Bull being bi is a label the game put on him in order to tell the player that he will romance both genders. Iron Bull did not put this label on himself so he really doesn't have to prove anything in game. But if you aren't particularly obtuse, the amount of innuendo that surrounds the character and his love life are certainly very visible.

 

I think it should be put somewhere that he's probably quite dragon-sexual, too. Dat boy loves his dragons.

Bull sleeps around, a lot. In haven you can over hear two women, both in chantry clothing talking about him, and how one went to thank him for joining the Inquistion, and thanked him all night.... And is now walking funny because of it....
Also over heard skyhold banter very similar to that on another play through. He also talks about serving girls jumping on top and the like. So yeah bull gets around.

I really like Bull, but he isn't that much on my party because Cassandra owns the tank slot. Though, he feels like a Garrus to me, but a even more rebel version of Garrus. I love the drinking contest. That was awesome. Bull is awesome.

You can be very active sexually without talking about sex all the time. Opposite is possible as well, like virgin talking about sex all the time

So him being bisexual (he's actually pansexual) is a lie because he didn't talk about it enough/screw enough people according to you, okay. I want to feel offended, but instead I just feel sad like this is a reminder some people actually think this way.

 

Also, not that it should really matter, but while Bull has implications of sleeping with women at Haven/Skyhold, the actual companion he can get with in some circumstances is a male, Dorian.

Just like IRL most of a bisexual person's options are going to be with the opposite sex, so it makes sense that most of Iron Bull's willing hookups would be with women. Gay/bi people only make up a few percent of the population

You're kind of proving the OP's point... which is that he only shows attraction towards women (OP obviously did not see the Bull/Dorian relationship b/c s/he romanced Dorian).

 

It's kind of like them telling us Zevran is bisexual but all he ever flirts with are women.

 

I think that's the complaint. And yes, it can be frustrating. Not because you believe bisexuals should be having loads of sex. But because you feel deep down the writers are afraid of "traumatizing" homophobic players by having a bisexual character hit on (or referencing having sex with) someone of the same sex.

I'd at least argue (even though I don't see it this way) that if IB is using the people he sleeps with as 'sex toys', then they are using him as one too. Especially when it's implied they went to him first, like with the chantry sister.
