People are so focused on freemium tactics that they forgot what works....

People will pay for virtual clothing and appearance changes in multiplayer games as long as you keep it reasonably priced.

Games that are free to play like tf2 and lots of rpgs have gotten by solely on this.

Then you use the money to give better updates and bug fixes and new outfits, and keeping your game alive.

The best part, your game doesn't get labelled as pay to win and turn away the bulk of players you actually want. Tons of players paying a few dollars beats out the one guy who dropped a grand. Because that one guy will get bored and leave eventually, so it's better to please a larger group of players.

It is a good idea actually. They could certainly have both a chest store and a storefor appearances. Unfortunatly that means that they have to make more of them, and more varied. I'm not a fan of microtransactions but as long as it is only cosmetic, and does not affect gameplay at all - I dont mind it.

Most people I know who have tried this game, played it for a while and quit has done so because it is so highly item dependant. Not because of the in game store.
