He was sports anchor. He was a huge part in changing the way sports were presented. Stu was a game changer and shook up the status quo.

He had a long bout with cancer that he, unfortunately, lost.

While heart disease is a bigger killer than cancer (making an increased cardiovascular workout a great part of anyone's routine), it is depressing to me that apparently the majority of cancers are caused by random factors not contributed to by genetics or behavior.

Scott always seemed like one of the good guys on ESPN. On a cynical note how long till ESPN renames the Jimmy V week the Jimmy V & Stuart Scott week. Also Everyone on ESPN should be wearing black arm bans like the pros do went one of their teammate/coach/owner passes away.

His mother was an assistant teacher at the school I went to, vaguely remember seeing him walking through the hallways a few times.

RIP.

People die in their 40s and 50s in 2010s in advanced societies. I think Medicine still sucks balls and lifestyles are still unhealthy. Or maybe he's a victim of  :alien: racism?

Medicine exists for making money.

Saving people's lives is just a side benefit.
