Same as above. I've switched from xbox to PC and using a mouse and keyboard is likely to break both my wrists because my desk is really awkward.
I know there is no official way to use a controller but what methods are used by BSNers?

Ya, that looks pretty damn complicated. Just gonna get a saw and modify my desk.
Haven't seen a way to do it that doesn't suck. It'd use digital instead of analog inputs which is like playing ME3 with a NES controller. The game does not support wired xbox controllers natively (or any).
U can buy a wired xbox controller. They should be compatible with pc gaming. Haven't tried it myself though. I stick to my 360 a little longer.
The issue is that the game doesn't have native controller support, so it's not that simple. Meg has it right that it won't be much fun.
Speaking as someone who played console and then learned (somewhat) to play on PC, it's not really that bad making the switch. The controls are just ... different.
Ok. Just thought they were compatible (they sell them as pc compatible controllers). I stand corrected!! Bad tip. Sorry :-)The issue is that the game doesn't have native controller support, so it's not that simple. Meg has it right that it won't be much fun.

Actually it is not that complicated, all you need is this:

and download the Mass Effect 3 profile. That is all. It works, I have personally tested it.
I would still recommend sawing off your desk because Mouse/Keyboard>>>>>Gamepad Contoller, for all Shooters (1st or 3rd person)
I can't. I tried 5 different controllers. The Logitech F-130 was the closest it came it being playable but even that was kinda bad.
EDIT: My eventual solution for PC gaming was a mouse with a lot more buttons (Razer Naga) and a keyboard with a lot less buttons (Logitech G-13).
My eventual conclusion was that setting up a gaming PC in the living room was not viable.
I sorted out my desk. I just neded an alan key in the end, no saw required.
Feels like I need an extra arm for the keyboard controls! but I am getting used to it. Switched my bindings to "q" and "e" instead of "1" and "2" and that helped alot. I could do with a handy 3rd binding for characters that use 3 powers, maybe one of the mouse buttons...
Being able to run and turn at the same time is so sweet ![]()

LOL learn the keyboard + mouse. Thank me later
Yeah you'll have to use xpadder though because for whatever reason Biovar didn't add in controller support. It's pretty close to console but I still haven't found a configuration that lets me reload cancel like I can on console. On PC you can't reload cancel with powers if they're on cooldown unlike how it is on console. Or maybe I'm just doing it wrong.
