Can we get a BioWare response about the Red Templar game breaking bugs?

Guys, have you ever considered that some of the bugs are platform specific? I only play this game on xbox one, never had a wave 5 or red templar no key glitch. But the dogs glitch out 50% of the games. Maybe on pc there are other bugs as well? So stop fighting and let us find all possible causes for game breaking glitches instead.

The dog pathing combined with knock around effect IS the mayor problem. I just can't see it any other way. As for the stage 5 red templar bug, I'm just going to stop commenting it. As I have said for the third time, after having played so many games and not having seen that bug EVER, even since launch - I just find it really hard to believe that it is a general problem. If it was, that would have happened to me also. So it must be something particular to those it happens to. I think though, we can all agree on the fact that the key drop bug is quite common and does affect everyone.

 

You think this thread is about debating? Jesus man. It's about fixing the problem. You think this is about "being right" in what causes bugs? Look NUMEROUS PEOPLE have had Red Templar issues since Day 1 and it's still happening. You think it's a conspiracy that we all made up? Dude just stop. You want to "be right" about this so hard that you can't see that this thread is meant to get BioWare attention because unlike you or I, they're the ones that actually will know what the hell is going on.

 

I'm on a PS3 so maybe it's a console // PC problem? I have no clue. Doesn't make it any less of a valid problem though.

for the record:

- playing on xbox one

- rank 212 or something like that (so I played a bit)

- never had 5/5 bug

- never had key not dropping glitch without dogs/ pre dlc

 

but to be fair, I didn't play since day 1 because I played through singleplayer first.

I routinely encounter the key and boss glitch against the Red Templars. And I don't have the DLC installed, I deleted that crap days ago. So, yeah I'm with you Saboteur Red Templars are ****ing glitchy trolls.

First time I've heard of that 5/5 thing. Only dog pathfinding+knockdowns before.

Sadly, I encounter it so much I immediately leave the match if we receive Red Templars during the mission briefing.

I've played quite a few matches with 3 elementalists and finished normally, maybe I'm just lucky.

I've never experienced the round 5 glitch.

It is true that you have to doubly stomp the final boss (assuming they are last) to make sure they die.

They seem to do a little struggling and crawling around before finally expiring.

Want to chime in and say I've had the Red Templars bug out on me at 5/5 so it wouldn't finish sometimes.

 

Started playing multiplayer since Day 1, might not have put as many hours into it as other people, but I usually play an hour or two every day.

 

Started playing on the PC, got it for PS4 for xmas.

 

As for the Key drop bug for ele firestorm, it doesn't hit me that often.  Although I do understand people's frustration when it does occur due to the xp lost.  The only trouble is that people are misinformed that the entire class is bugged rather than just one ability(Used in conjunction with those blasted dogs.) and you get people asking you to change your class when you join their lobby, even if you tell them you aren't rolling with firestorm that run.

 

Ele is my favorite class, but I understand people getting frustrated with the xp loss, key drop glitch thing.  So what I do now if I want to play Ele and use firestorm is host the game and start off solo in the lower difficulties, something I'm fairly sure I can handle.  That way if people join the lobby they'll see me on my ele and can choose to drop in at their own risk.

I've had the exact opposite where when he starts his death throes animation (i.e., burning then growing and shrinking before writhing), when players keep wailing on him, it often bugs out, but if they leave him alone, he dies on his own and the Match completes. You don't have to keep attacking him when that animation begins. It's purely a wasted effort.

Maybe a quick fix would be to trigger him as dead when the death animation begins rather than having the elaborate death animation.  Unrelated to the incomplete round bug (which at somewhere around 145 prestige I've never encountered), it took me quite a while as a newbie and mainly ranged player to realize he was dead despite having that final chunk of health left.  I still sometimes end up accidentally targeting him while he's being melodramatic instead of shooting templars that are actually alive and doing damage lol.

I used to think that was the problem but it's not it. I saw RT adds vanishing off the map for no reason. It was the brute looking guy. The only way you'll see it occur is if you're facing them at the right time when they disappear. One of these days I might get lucky enough to record it.

The only time that I've had Round 5 failing to complete is when one, or more, of the players gets the bug where the area texture fails to load.  Personally, I refer to this case as "The Plains of Doom" since that is what it generally looks like.  This *always* results in the round not completing, sans a host migration.  You may not be aware of what the other players are experiencing, in this case, if they are not active on their mics.

I don't think I've gotten the wave 5 incomplete glitch but I have gotten a glitch a couple of times where there are enemies left on the map and the round just completed before those enemies were killed. I think it was Red Templars. So, yeah. Sump'm fishy going on in Templar Land.

I didn't even know that the texture could fail to load there.  I know it's failed on me (edit: the wave) when all of my friends had mics, and nobody mentioned a texture issue, though I guess they could have been used to it and not thought it noteworthy.

 

I've experienced the wave ending with enemies left on Red Templars as well, but only twice.

This bug is killing me... 

 

I enjoyed a lot playing with my elementalist but now 90 % on my runs are stopped by this bug ...  

 

I think because  of the firestorm we don't get the key !

 

This is so frustrating ... Perilous are so much easyer with the elementalist and the firestorm ...

 

Something must be done !

Just want to chime in that I have also had Zone 5 bugs against Red Templars but only extremely rarely.  Two times now we've been stuck running around the zone with no enemies remaining, probably as others surmise due to the server not correctly detecting that Commander is in fact deceased.  It happened to me once pre-DLC and a second time last week.

 

The invulnerable Shadow bug causing the key not to drop also occurred pre-DLC.  I had that one a few times but nowhere remotely as frequently as the bugged out dogs post-DLC.  That one is getting incredibly frustrating.

So I just had the wave/zone 5 bug (truth be told, it's about 50% of RT matches) and as host I exited then rejoined at which point we were in the Endless Plains of Doom, so there was a host migration and we started in zone 1/5 just me and the necro and it acted as if we were four players and we wiped. Kept the previous mission's XP and gold, though.

I've never had a wave 5 incomplete, even w/ Templars, but I've gotten puh-lenty of no keys. Most recent was against Demons with hyenas thrown in. Damn hyenas, it's gotten to where I hold my breath to see if a key will drop if I see canines on the field.

I've been able to get around the key not dropping occasionally, sometimes a dog or other enemy (does seem to be mostly dogs) that was killed is still standing, just with no health bar and doing nothing and no targeting symbol.  Hitting it repeatedly eventually causes it to die and the key to drop.  Sometimes the remaining enemy is invisible and you can hit it, blood sprays out, but u cant kill it to get the key drop.

 

I've also only noticed the round not ending when someone gets the terrain/falling through the map glitch.  You can see that person hopping around and being repeatedly ported to the entrance.  its when that happens the round never seems to end.  Also if that person leaves, (not just the host) it also seems to end properly after rather than resetting the round.

 

All of this is on PS4.

Yes only issue I've had with multi is red Templar 5/5. Not sure if it's related but it seems to happen only when someone hits commander after he starts his dying animation. (360)

Hmm. Never had this happen.

I'm jelly, it happened to me so much I removed the DLC. Sadly, the RT are still bugged.
