Just because you didn't like the ending of this Trilogy, doesn't mean you should hate on the next game.
If you don't want to play it that's your choice, but others still want to play it. If you don't want the Mass Effect series to continue, why are you here? Why do you still complain about ME3? Why don't you just leave and get Mass Effect out of your life? ME3 will not be changed.

its not just the ending hell its probably the least of ME3's problems
I'm just waiting for ME4 to fail lol
btw ME1+ ME2 are still my favourite games and I love parts of ME3 too (basically the only things Bioware gave a **** about namely the Tuchanka arc and Rannoch arc)

I'm not sure I understand that attitude, although you're not the first person around here to have posted something similar. I get that if the previous game(s) of a series were a disappointment to you, you might not be interested in buying any further games in that series. What I don't get is also hoping that ME: Next never sees the light of day. If you're not going to purchase the game anyway, why does it matter if other people do? It just seems to be a variation of "How dare you like what I don't like."

Even if it blows, I'll still buy it, and still buy the next one and the next one and the next one. Until it becomes obvious that they are milking the franchise for all it's worth. I think that this game has Star Wars on the ropes for best SciFi series ever. That's how good I think that this series of games is. And with JJ Abrams at the helm, he has a full and fresh idea of what makes Star wars, Star Wars.
I mean, Star Trek isn't even in running anymore. I like it, don't get me wrong. But best ever? Meh. Don't think so.

The only thing I didn't like about ME3 was consistently going 15-20 minutes without dialogue control. They should take some cues from DAI with regards to that. Otherwise, the story was good even the ending IMO.

Does the word "placeholder" ring a bell?
Most likely it will be fall 2016 or spring 2017 at the latest. Spring 2016 is possible but it's a longshot.

Be careful what you wish for. He could just do what he did with Star Trek and spend an entire movie doing call-backs in order to play on your emotions and make you think it's a halfway decent film.
I'm gonna facepalm anytime I hear an old trilogy phrase repeated (besides "May the Force be with you", obviously). I'm expecting atleast a half dozen facepalms. Whatever.....it can't be worse than The Phantom Menace, right?

2020 is clearly placeholder 
Anything from Q4 2015 to Q4 2016 makes sense to me until further news. So a year to two years from now.
If a Mass game releases in 2020, it better be 'ME5' or 'ME6' and include/emphasize VR support. 
In any case, this is the year that we should finally get the juicy (non spoiling) info about the game. E3. Trailers. Even if it isn't released for the holiday season, and even if they wait for the holiday season of 2016 - we'll still get something.
EDIT: I don't agree with those thinking it'll take as long as 2017. I'm gonna have to go on more than your opinion for that.

That's highly unlikely. That would mean game would be released near end of this current console generation.
And since we had teasers already, not a chance 2020 is a release date.

Regarding ME4 I will be honest I'm not that excited for ME4 maybe I will buy it and see it as a nice side adventure(ME was and always will be about Shepard and his crew in my opinion) maybe I won't

Be careful, they could take the ME1 and 2 approach by having dialogue options that all say the same thing
