Is it just me or is there a lot of Firefly reference in the game. So far I've heard people talk about New Canton and the Blue Sun is everwhere.
In Firefly Canton was were Jayne (played by the great Adam Baldwin who is also a voice in the game) was a hero and helped the poor people of the planet and Blue Sun was this organization that we never got to see cause the series ended.
I was just curious if anyone knew if Bioware purposely did that and if they did I think its kinda cool if all this was put in because of Firefly and certainly fits in with their "Can't Stop The Signal" motto that Firefly fans adopted from the movie.

I would expect a great game to make references to a great science fiction series. It's a pity that I'm feeling that I can't catch a lot of references (especially some hidden in planet descriptions... which just leave me wondering if they're references at all).
Might be.
I also think that the dogtags on the Normandy crash site are references... must be the testers. Like the graveyard in DA:O.

Firefly was an excellent series, Joss Weadon should really make a ME type game to continue it.

I would imagine they're on purpose (how many other times in life will you hear "rutting" used as a curse in a game that already drops the F-bomb?), just like in Halo 3 and ODST (muuuuuch more overt). I love the references.....so keep them coming.
Huge Joss Whedon fan, myself.
