Is there any use for the valuables that you find like the toy soldier and other stuff aside from the stuff that you turn in for creature research or it is just for selling?, my inventory is full and I'm afraid to sell anything

Some valuables are used for requisitions, I think. If you don't bother with those, though, you should be safe to just sell everything aside from the research items.
