I liked her comments on Morrigan and Keiran if Leliana romanced a male Warden.

Morrigan HAS changed. She even told Kieran that his father (if Alistair) was "a good man."
I really liked Morrigan's character development in this game. Oxytocin is an amazing thing.

ell she did and Leliana was such a forgiving soul for the Warden's indiscretions and Keiran was a win-win ... I was looking for the DAO warden, letters came and went -opps never showed => another part that never made it to the final plot? Or was it just another plot hole that failed?
That dialog between the player and NPCs while out or in camp was a valuable part of DAO and similarly for ME1/2/3 - it reinforced that your team had their own interests to follow up on. The Red Lyrium for Varrius is a prime example of not using the dialog system effectively -having to go back to base to talk about it before you can bash it - Just Wasteful!

It's kind of one sided though. Morrigan doesn't comment on Leliana at all. The only time she even says her name is during the epilogue.

My version of Leliana left at the Urn quest (I was going to do a keep of her killed, but decided against it). It's not as... fleshed out. She should be more pissed. She doesn't even mention why she left, other than the Warden being a douche (she specifically mentions the Urn though, if killed).
But anyways.. it's interesting how fine she is about the OGB.

I never thought Morrigan was cruel or mean. She just didn't buy into the chantry or the circle propaganda. So anyone who doesn't agree with the maker or chantry is considered cruel. How typical.
Morrigan was cautious but if you happen to romance Morrigan you get to see a softer side emerge.

umm.. She tells you to sacrifice those city elves to a Tevinter, for a worthless +1 con boost. Even crazier, she'll do it even if it's your dad and you're a City Elf yourself. lol
That's beyond cruel. She can't resist acquiring power.

I'm pretty sure she also approves if you decide to kill the Dalish in favor of getting the werewolf army. My angry city elf didn't like shems, especially not shem mages, but Morrigan liked all of his stupid evil shenanigans.

Let's pretend that she left when you drink the Well yourself like she did in DAO.

Morrigan was cruel and mean. It's only after you soften her up by making friends with her or romancing her that you get to see a side that isn't all cold and 'gimme power'. Even then that only goes so far. If you tell her 'no' at the end, she throws a hissy fit and leaves the party before the big fight, whether she's your friend or not. She approves of most of the 'bad/evil' choices in the game as other posters have pointed out, bleeding your City Elf family and friends for 'a little more power'.
I loved Morrigan but I doubt Leliana got to be as close to her as the warden did, so her perceptions of Morrigan as a 'cold, cruel woman' wouldn't have been disavowed.
I also love the character growth Inquisition gave her. Morrigan became a loving mother (even if the child was Alistair's) and puts her son first in her life.

The girl was raised in the freaking wilds, what civility do you expect from her? she had a witch mother that told her how the chantry is xyz and that they shouldn't be trusted.

I don't expect any of those things. I just wouldn't say she wasn't cruel or mean.. which she could be. There's no use denying it. Whether one wants her to change or not is another story.

Sure, but that doesn't really change much of anything. The only thing that really matters in the end is that her meanness and cruelty is basically passive. She disapproves of charity and not sacrificing people to blood rituals and such, but at least she won't fight over it.

This.
I don't think Morrigan as mean and/or cruel. She was raised with the ideal of "anything goes for your survival". And the way she does it is through power.
Some of you sees her actions on an emotional level. But really I see Morrigan as a "practical" woman.
Don't get me wrong, some things she does/say are atrocious but as I said, she doesn't see it like this (although I'll give it to you, she loves mocking people). That's my own perception of her anyway.

The funny thing is Flemeth isn't really like her. Flemeth is funny and willing to be helpful... for some reason. There's probably all kinds of secret motives, but from my own experience, she's more personable. Why she raised Morrigan differently is a little odd.

She's like the cryptic, super ancient good Samaritan that will do you a huge solid, but then say something creepy that makes you wonder if maybe you should've died instead.

I thought both were kind of similar. Flemeth willingly helps you so you owe her a favor she will collect later on. Morrigan helps you because it helps her. They are both using people just differently.
As for why she raised Morrigan like this, for me it's really so she could use her like a puppet. I think it's exactly like Mother Gothel from Tangled. "Everyone out there wants your blood, I'm your only shelter". Too bad the Warden foiled her plans ![]()

HAHAAHAHA, Flemeth help the Warden and Hawke to get something in return. She is no different from her daughter Morrigan.

Personally I was a little disappointed with the lack of interaction between Leliana and Morrigan in game. I actually missed this conversation, and without it, they never seem to acknowledge each other at all, even though they're both staying under the same roof, which I thought was a great waste of an opportunity.
On Flemeth v Morrigan - a child's personality is not shaped entirely by its parents. It's likely Morrigan's more prickly, 'rougher' edges are entirely her own and not moulded by her mother.
