I'm guessing you weren't a Miranda fan?
Only a fan of her ass.
But....australian accents are totally hot
Most people say that. But definitely not for me.

What if the austrailian accent belonged to an Quillback-wrestling Qunari? ![]()

Familiarity breeds contempt, your own accent always sound bad. Foreign accents usually sound 'exotic'. The Mandalorians in Kotor always made me laugh though, especially when I imagine them being like Steve Irwin.
Maybe i watched Neighbour's too much as a kid, so many ridiculously attractive australians with the accent ![]()
"Mother Giselle! STOP SPITTING IN MY FACE WHEN YOU TALK TO ME!" <-----what I think every time I talk to her.

Turns me stomach. I just know I caught something from Isolde too, nasty wench.

Giselle and Isolde are the most egregious offenders. They should be shot and subsequently burned.
Not only is Josephine the prettiest but she has an accent that pleases the ear; I do not wish to cut off her head and throw it in the fighting ring in my courtyard.
You clearly haven't gotten to the Winter Palace yet *shudder*
Cassandra's accent is fine. It is mother Giselle's that sounds bad.
Yeah, I love Mother Giselle, but that accent was painful. Too many people doing the French accent really ham it on the 'r' pronunciation.

XD Celene...
"You wish to pwoove your innocence?"

Zee Inkwiziztiown.....
Mother Giselle looks like the kind of woman that has really bad breath.
Btw, Miranda's accent is slightly done over the top. We don't all sound like that.
XD Celene...
Weirdly I like how Celene talked, it's just like what I imagine her. Maybe I also tolerate her more since I didn't get to speak with her like I must to Mother Giselle...
Correct. It's a mix.
It's very strong. It sounds a little off to me (native French speaker) but I can't put my finger on why.
I remember thinking there was something off about the british (imperial) accent of a character in swtor until I realized that she was australian, lol. It could be something as simple as her accent is that of a french speaking country that's not France.
I'm not very critical of strong accents because I sound like an adult version of Dexter from Dexter's Laboratory
(people assure me it's not that bad, but it sounds *that* bad to me). That being said, I can't stand Mother Giselle's accent, but only because it's so incredibly inconsistent. One moment she's British, the next she's French, and then, midsentence, she switches to some sort of phlegmy Jamaican accent. Make up your mind, woman. Zevran Banderas is still my favourite.

Just wait till we go to the Anderfels. You'll get to enjoy some of our lovely german äkzents! ![]()

Ever heard of Steve Irwin?
He's native. Youtube him if you're not familiar... he lays it on a bit too thick as well. Having said that, Miranda's isn't quite as bad. But you get my point.

Or should I say.. *was.
He's dead now.
Well the problem is that only Cassandra's voice actress can get emotion past the gimmicky accent. She's just amazing.
As Mediterranean person Josie's accent is just annoying, it's like the accent that others make fun of us for having, just with a few more proper vowels.
I think the games could use more of the variety in British accents. And I mean true accents, not a cop out like Sera's american accent with two features vaguely from the Grim North tacked on. After Game of Thrones, the Witcher and other Euro-RPGS, and the popularity of period shows that are British or have British actors, Dragon Age's and Skyrim's American accents just sound off and almost immersion breaking for a medieval setting now. That being said intermediate accents can also work if everyone is like Viv ![]()

But Miranda is voiced by an Australian. How can you complain about an Australian actress' Australian accent?
