It's not fair that when they announced this new game. They did so with the voice of Morrgian playing in the background. Clearly she's the fan favorite. We never even get a chance to have her with us as a companion expect for the near end of the game. To me. She is on the reasons DA: Orgins had such great success.

 

Her story line was so compelling. Now we never may find out what happened to the God Child It would be nice if he was the one actually causing all this in the end. You had to fight your own child if (If you accepted her deal in orgins) or allister's kid if you didn't. 

 

My point is they skipped over what took place with the child with powers of a God. Like it never happened.

Been there, done that. Let's not waste dlc on just wanting to see a character again.
I prefer my dlc to continue the story.

Morrigan is one of my favorite characters in the series, but I don't think we need another DLC focused on her. Been there, done that. And after DA:I Kieran has been stripped off his 'godhood.' He's basically a normal child after DA:I, or at least as normal a child of a Witch of the Wilds can be. There's just no strong story reason for Morrigan to be the central focus of a DLC, like she was in Witch Hunt. If we're going to have a DLC focused on a specific character from a previous game, I'd rather there was a strong reason for that focus within the story and not just, "Here you go, enjoy this fanservice."

I would rather have a Josephine DLC where you have to write letters, and that's the whole game...

The climax is planning a party where you match wines with cakes, and if you mess it up, someone stabs you because "the game"

Morrigan is cool and all....but as far as characters in a DLC...

 

1) The Return of the Warden (aka Hero of Fereldan)

2) Iron Bull and Bull's Chargers

3) One of the Red Jennys (or all of them..Happy Feastday)

The 5 people still defending this dlc need to read this thread, the rest of us think her story is great but doesnt need more added to it in dlc, next game? Absolutely. The God child story is resolved and she got a huge spotlight in DAI. She is my cannon love interest and she is my favorite companion by far out of all three games but a dlc focused solely on her will have way more nay sayers than supporters. You do realize some people didn't make the same choices you did in DAO right? you seem to want to just throw those people's stories out the window for your personal satisfaction. Some people didn't have a god baby at all not with the warden and not with alistair, regardless his story is finished anyway. Just no dude. No.

Morrigan is cool and all....but as far as characters in a DLC...

I would like a warden one, if you're warden is dead make it the warden commander from awakening. Good writers can iron out the rest

She already had her own DLC in Origins. And she leaves the Inquisition at the end and I doubt she'll return in future story-based DLC's for Inquisition. There's still hope for DA4 though.

Even if Leliana had her own DLC too it makes sense for her to return in future DLCs for Inquisition since she is part of the main cast, she's tied the most into the story and the forming of the Inquisition along with Cass, Cullen, Josie, Varric and Solas.

 

As for Morrigan having big roles in future games, didn't the devs say in an early interview after the first trailer was announced that Inquisition is Morrigan's moment?

 

And I think even Gaider, her writer said Morrigan's fate will be sealed in this game.

I don't think we will be seeing Morrigan anymore during Inquisition. Nor does she need an DLC in this game. But I'm pretty sure we'll see her again in a future game. Because of the whole Well of Sorrows, and especially the Mythal/Flemeth, Solas thing.

 

I love everything Morrigan, but I don't see how her story could continue in Inquisition.

I don't think any DLC should be focused on a character.  Such a dlc will get zero dollars from me.  However, there are story reasons for Morrigan to come back in DLC related to the Well and Flemeth, etc.

Interesting idea, I have a few thoughts....

 

A. Morrigan is awesome. Someone better adept at searching the forums would have a better chance of finding it, but when DG was asked who was the very first DA character created... his reply was Morrigan. Its not like George Lucas started writing Star Wars by saying to himself.... yeah, Jawa #173, the dude who drives the sandcrawler.. now there's a story. So its obvious that Morrigan is an important part of the DA universe, maybe even moreso since it may be that Flemeth is dead.

 

B. Witch Hunt... while Morrigan-centric... 95% of it takes place in her absence, she has one appearance and one conversation, so its not like it was all Morrigan all the time.

 

C. OGB - Contrarian idea. Everyone and their mother is assuming Flemeth took the OGB soul from Kieran. We all know how DG and his crew like baiting DA fans, I will wait and watch and see if that actually comes to pass. Like other things, I will wait until its unequivocally stated she took his OGB soul... and then died.

 

I don' think there needs to be a DLC based on her, DLC should be based on story, and several characters. Still will be interesting.

We've already had DLC about her in DA1 and no thank you I will not pay for another her's DLC no no nope and no! Had enough of her! So if Morrigan gets another DLC about her then she will become more overrated character for me then Liara was in ME!

It seems like everybody went from assuming or theorizing that Flemeth took the OGB Soul from Kieran to it actually being a fact. Was it explicitly stated what she took ? Do we really know for a fact that what she took from Kieran was the OGB soul ? All we know is she absorbed something from Kieran that would "cause his dreams to stop".  I don't recall Flemeth going all like "oh by the way, just to get this cleared up, i took your OGB powers you little **** !" 

 

Anyways, on topic:

DA:I DLC should be about the Inquisition, the Inquisitor and his/her companions. Solas ? Maybe, although i personally get the idea they're saving him for grander postures then just some DLC or an expansion. Or that could be just wishfull thinking.

Somehow i also get the idea that Morrigan, HoF, Flemeth, the Grey Wardens/Weisshaupt will be adressed in DA 4. Or atleast it should be, there's a lot of ground to (still) cover due to events that occured in DA:I  and honestly, Bioware wrote themselves in a corner with the HoF by giving him another mission. People are expecting HoF content now. Unless they had that planned all along despite them stating HoF was done.

 

So i'd rather see some DLC that focusses on the remants of the Mage/Templar war, the new divine, the new political power that is the Inquisition and some more companion driven content.

Just leave Morrigan for another installment.

Anyway i had enough with the old characters in general time to move on   

Alistair,Leliana; Loghain,Morrigan, Flemeth, Varric ecc.. enough let them be in Southern Thedas we   need new one they have done a great job with the new  cast there is no need to reuse the same characters, the Thedas world would be like a little village imho.

If  you want someone like her in northern Thedas ther is still Yavana i'm sure they will use her character for DA4  in the part of the witch of the Tellari swamps.

That's a great opinion you have there. Not everyone "had enough" of her. Her storyline isn't complete. They could make a whole new game just circled around the child. Don't you want find out what happened. 

No because in my canon he does not exist , tell me how they can make a Dlc for an optional character?
