Recently I have tried to overclock my CPU, it's an i5 2500K. I tried running a Prime95 stress test to see if it would stay stable at 4.5 GHZ with 1.255V, but after about 5 minutes, the temperature started to oscillate by about 15 degrees every 8 seconds. Rapidly changing temperatures are bad for most objects, so I aborted the test. If there's an issue here, does anyone know what it could be? Aside from changing the clock speed, the changing the voltage, and turning off turboboost, I've left the settings alone.
