Yeah, we were warned, didn't know it then but, the whole DAI premisis was revealed in DAO DLC. Well done Bioware.
I know, should have known it would play out in the future given the reason she got turned to stone was for true prophesy her lover deemed false. Makes me wonder about the other prophesies she uttered.

What's the other one again?
I think the Red Lyrium idol from DA2 had a very interesting shape

I'd say Sandal's "prophecy" too, except the part about the magic coming back and everyone being just like they were.
Maybe that's a hint at what the Dread Wolf wants to do?
I barely remember the others, in orgins she says something about how she stone she was made and stone she will remain until he returns to light their fires or some such thing and then how Finn would not meet her again in witchhunt. There might be more but I don't remember.

It was about the maker and the pronoun of "they" was used.
Isn't that interesting when put into context that her prophesies come true. We may yet learn more about the maker by series end then.
It's one thing I like about Dragon Age, it's obvious that the overarching plot was thought out from the start. While playing Mass Effect I always had the impression the writers made stuff up as they went along.
I definitely remember hearing that one writer had a plot planned out for Mass Effect 3 when he helped write 2, only for it to be moved out of the way for the plot we have today - for better or worse.
As for Dragon Age, David Gaider has said (he could lie, but I choose to believe him) that they planned out the major plot points of the games so far since Origins, including the epilogue scene in the latest game. There's certainly still some chopping and changing though, and personally, the Witch Hunt Statue's dialogue seems very vague so as to have allowed changes.
The 2 mages in the circle also talk about DA2
If you did not go with Morrigan, she gives you a gift that started you on your quest to end the calling.

You happen to remember what the gift was? I always followed Morrigan so I would not know.

I remember a book by the campfire in front of the Eluvian... but it's been some time, I might be wrong.

Spoiler
I don't think so since there is a third figure on the Idol

Well...ME trilogy never had a set in stone plot line. Drew was lead writer, but left Bioware halfway through ME2. From what I was able to gather back then, he did not really know how he was going to end the whole thing, but the supposed original plot line being floated around was just as bad as star child in the end, quite frankly. It was a rip-off of ST:TNG's episode about Warp drive tearing the fabric of space-time, but in ME it was the mass effect which was responsible. And it has something to do with dark matter destroying stars or whatever. Dumb nonsense, but we don't know if that's what Drew was thinking or not.
Either way, ME was amateur hour. If you're writing a huge project, you absolutely must write the ending first, so you can stay on track throughout the process. They're doing a better job with DA, but, unfortunately, the stories are not very interesting; just more save the world from doom/demons....again..... Which was all ME was, too, just sloppily written.

It's too much of a coincidence. Some thing may of changed over time but the major plot lines did not.
It makes me wonder who's fires the Maker is going to be lighting again when he returns.
I figured that was just the book she stole from Ariane's clan so that Ariane didn't have to keep hunting her.
Morrigan said that we will find the gift 'most interesting'. It could be contents from the book, but whatever it was, it must have something to do with the calling.
