I'm glad they put this together at last. Two games late, but better late than never, I suppose.

Good to know, cheers for posting. I'm undecided which one to slap on my elf "arcane warrior" mage for both looks and a fitting deity, provided I ever get around to playing her. Dirthamen's looks pretty good, and would mean a nice special kick in the guts in a certain lost temple. Mythal's most complex one looks good too, and would be amusingly ironic. Both would suit someone trying to revive lost knowledge about combat magic for use in defending her people.

I like the Mythal one. Very complex and appropriate when visiting her temple.

So I got Falon'Din.
I mean, that's alright I guess... If you like that kind of thing.
At least I'm not a Halla-Mother.

Elgar'Nan is cool as well. The simpler one not the half and half.

Any ideas who this one represents?
I would guess Falon'Din

It looks like I had June with my Dalish alt. (canon is a human noble)
Now if only they'd explain the Dwarven tats, well besides casteless.
Dwarven tattoos are entirely a casteless thing. It's why the pejorative for them is 'Brands.' In DA:O you could also give tattoos to your noble, but I suppose that would be an example of your character slumming. With the DA:I dwarves you're a surfacer, a member of the Carta, and probably descended from Brands who fled Orzammar.

Me too. Looks especially great on female Inquisitors IMO.

Make sense since Mythal is female. Not saying it doesn't look good on guys, but just more appropriate.

I knew Solas just didn't want to see another God written on his girls face
XD
I can only imagine how much more it sucks for him to see a romanced Lavellan wearing Mythal's symbol after she

Hey! Some of us are proud of their characters wearing Ghilan'nain's Vallaslin, and made it a part of the character's backstory already!
Because canons, sticking out of one's head! Headcanons!

You my good sir or ma'am have just given me a great idea! Normally I would never do another run with him again but that is too good of an idea to pass up. ![]()

Dirthamen tatoos for my archer rogue, hell yes. Honestly all of them are pretty cool and could create lots of headcanon material even if you didn't know the meaning when you first picked them.

I gave my fem Lavellan the markings of Ghilan'nain.
Considering she was considered the chosen of Andruil and was the only member of the patheon who was explicitly stated to have been one of The People first, before rising to Godhood later, that's some pretty interesting parallels with how the Inquisitor's own story seems to be shaping up...

Yeah, I had the Dirthamen and Falon'Din ones mixed up so my male archer has Falon'Din. I guess he's all "death from above" instead of the sneaky sneak I intended him to be. ![]()

What about Velanna's or Seranni's? Far as I can recall, their tattoos were pretty unique. Granted that was back in Awakening, but still.

Dwarven noble tattoos are distinctly different from Dwarven Commoner tattoos.
All the dwarven NPCs you meet of noble origins in the series don't have tattoos. On the other hand casteless NPCs are loaded with them. IMO the tattoo options for the dwarf noble are just there for greater character customization, but are bit out of step the lore in some respects. A dwarf noble with tattoos would probably be viewed as someone who is slumming.
