I don't think it's clear. We were just talking of this in the Cass thread. I like Vivienne's handling of Templars as well, while the Seekers remain independent not answering to her.. keeping things in check in the background.

Vivienne or Cassandra. Either one's going to keep them around while making sure templar abuse no longer happens. Vivienne may actually be better for this, being a mage herself.

Vivienne makes them glorified watchdogs. Same like Tevinter Templars, except they take Lyrium. I mean you might like this for Templars because it certainly prevents the known abuses but Templars are definitely treated better with Cass as divine. And Cassandra prevents the abuses just as well.

Meh, Vivianne is just going to lead to the same problems all over again. Imo Cassandra is the best Divine choice overall especially if you are going to keep Cullen off Lyrium.

Tevinter Templars have their balls cut off, as Dorian would say.
It all depends on the Seekers though.. that's my point. All of these endings suck without them.

I honestly think it's what they deserve after all this. I'm pretty much as pissed off at them as I am Fiona. The templars kind of need an organizational time out.

Not the impression I got.
Vivienne essentially rebuilds the Circles and Templars. But she also cleans house and gets rid of the bad apples, and gives the mages more freedom and responsibility. The situation is essentially status quo, but with a somewhat better balance of power
Also, if you encourage Cullen to stop taking lyrium, many other templars follow his example and stop as well.

I think that means Lyrium. Tevinter Templars are decor unless they are called upon. Vivienne will do the same.
If Leliana is divine Templar order is forever gone, and all Templars join Cassandra as Seekers. This will make the strongest seeker army.
Under Vivienne, most Templars elect to remain with the Inquisition. Those who join are firmly leashed by her hand.
With Cassandra she reforms the Templar order with better ideals and goals and does not treat them like Vivienne.

Vivienne. If you reformed the Seekers, they won't have the ability to sever the Templars from the Chantry like they did before.

It's not the same. She actually cares about policing magic, unlike Tevinter. Tevinter Templars are just warriors and nothing more.

What happens to the templars with Leliana? Does it changes if they are conscripted or allied? The wiki is not clear about this.

Tevinter cares about policing magic as well. Simple warriors or no, Templars are called upon to fix magical disasters. The Lyrium usage is so high among mages, there isn't any left. But when there is no incident, they are decor.

They all become Seekers under Cassandra, and others elect to remain with Inquisition.

Since Leliana dissolves the Circle of Magi, Templars are no longer needed so they either stay with the Inquisition or join the Seekers of Truth if they are reformed.

Right after he learns to tie his own shoes first. (Why do you think he walks barefoot? lol)

I like that scenario almost as much. But I know it isn't for everyone.. or Templar specific.

You can also say Leliana is the best Divine, can't get much better for Mage rights than getting rid of the Circles. And you can imagine the Seekers of Truth or the Inquisition itself becoming the check on Bad Mages.
Really, Mages come out much better than before under the any of the new Divine.

The funny thing is, you'll probably have less powerful mages around in the longrun.. without organized Circle education. But probably more freakish cults and odd forms of hedge magic.
