Who'd you pick outside of the given three options?

Personally, I'd pick Mother Giselle: pragmatic on just about anything and a reasonable stance on magic.

Same. It annoys me to have someone so obviously qualified.. and yet... not. For some reason.

Um yeah...not sure why Giselle isn't an option anyway.

The only choice I find remotely suited out of the options we get is Cassandra. -_-

Scout Harding, Varric, or Sera...or maybe the sister loitering outside Haven's chantry, who has the hots for Iron Bull =p

But yeah, on my first character, before reading about the possibility of having Cass, Vi, or Leli, as Divine, I really thought the game was setting Giselle up to be the next Divine.

Cassandra or Viv for me. Not too sold on Leliana after she went all Pol Pot on the Chantry in my first game.

Ah it's refreshing to see a Pol Pot comparison. :D Usually we get Hitler. Or maybe Stalin.

I really thought Mother Giselle would be an option. But I'd still pick softened Leliana. She's the only serious candidate who wants to abolish the Circles.

Making Fiona the divine would be also tempting :D

But but.. those are all the options already in the game. I was asking outside of these three options

And about the Pol Pot thing: where are you from? Cause as Streetmagic says: we usually get Stalin or Hitler. Pol Pot suggests you're from a different part of the world.

Or you have just gotten it in history class :P

I have the same problem that led to them begging Cass and Lel to come back, namely that there are no good candidates left.  Everyone qualified for the job died at Haven.

They might as well have just put names in a hat and drawn one.

There are still Mothers all over the place. Just not Grand Clerics. I think Cass and Leli are asked, simply because it's a means to get good with the Inquisition (or possibly even get the Inquisition under control, from it's own point of view).

Anyone that isn't hardened Leiliana.

I accidently put her in charge in my game and now I weep for the future of Thedas...  :crying:

Cassandra is perfect for the job, in my opinion, so it'd still be her.

Leliana did move me when she spoke about making the Chantry a source of inspiration and unconditional acceptance, yet I still find her to be a bit reckless about the position.

Giselle is gossipy, condescending, and has no backbone. Terrible choice, in my opinion.
