In terms of story and content, who is best to take to this mission? As it's to do with elfy stuff I'm thinking Solas, but any suggestions to 2 other companions that provide interesting dialogue / lulz? I play as a dual wielding rogue :)

Solas definitely, Dorian is interesting too...maybe Sera? I don't know.

Solas for the dialogue with Morrigan and Abelas, Dorian for realising Tevinter isn't as bad as he thought and Sera for taking the ****** out of the elfy ****. As you're a rogue I'd suggest dropping Sera and taking Blackwall instead, he presumably has something to say about the Wardens there.

Solas and Dorian.
Cassandra and sera for casual racism
Blackwall talks about the wardens and how awesome the temple is.

Solas and Cole. They give some interesting insights.

Solas might as well be required for that quest, tbh.

Solas to be sure, and I thought Dorian might be interesting to bring along, but I couldn't have three mages total (my Inquisitors are all mages so far *cough*). Anyway, one of the people you bring maybe ought to be your LI because I think they'll beg you not to drink from the Well. I remember Blackwall not wanting me to do it, and he was conveniently both my tank and my LI - heh.

Sounds like Solas, Dorian and Cole would be the most informative group--but I'm a mage. If I take the knight enchanter tree, can I tank well enough to keep that group alive?

Solas and Dorian!

I took Knight Enchanter and could tank everything in the game.

Blackwall and Cassandra are somewhat intolerant of the dalish faith. So for those who care about keeping their approval up while not desecrating the temple might wish to leave them behind.

Solas gets whiny if you don't bring him. Dorian does have interesting dialogue.

I can't really remember who else I brought. I think Vivienne. She didn't have much to add to the overall dialogue. And then I either brought iron bull or Cassandra. Neither of which had anything to add.

You can probably afford to bring both Dorian and Solas. And the last spot is pretty much open. Sera might have funny thins to say because she hates "elfy". But that would leave you short a tank.

Solas for the quest. Vivienne for some banter with Morrigan.

I bring Solas, Sera and Cassandra.

I dislike that Cassandra is being offensive about my people's religion when I (Mage Lavellan) have had to put up with her Chantry since day 1. Ever heard of tolerance and being open minded much?

Solas for the revelations regarding the Creators.

And Sera because I like her and she is useful.

If you don't bring Solas, Vivienne takes his place in the cut scene with Morrigan at the Well, so she's interesting if you don't bring him.

But anyway, I definitely agree with bring Dorian and Solas (who I don't even like) if you want maximum content. The third one should be your LI if it's not one of those two, Cullen, or Josephine because I assume they have more to say about the choice at the well.

Aside from Solas as an obvious choice, I liked bringing Sera along, because Abelas made some comments about her, the unelfy elf (something like "Hey, you have an elven with you, or at least someone who looks like us!") while completely ignoring our totally elfy Solas. I found that quite interesting.

Solas and Sera.

In fact, I'm pretty sure Solas has something to say in every main quest, so he's never a wrong pick for that.

Ooh! I took Solas, Sera and Blackwall last time.

I wish I'd taken Cole instead of Sera.

Aw man, now I've got to play through again with Cassandra instead of Blackwall and Cole instead of Sera just to see what they would say!

(Solas always goes.)

I decided to take Solas, Viv & Cass as my tank. Thus far some interesting insights from Solas and good banter between him and Morrigan and Morrigan and Viv. Cass has added very little except she's obviously a bit perturbed in the temple, Mythal baffles her it seems. I wish I'd taken Dorian now, but I didn't want to take a full mage team with my rogue - can anyone tell me what he says when in the temple? Does he have banter with Morrigan too?

EDIT: Stuff it I'm restarting ! I'll just speed run through the first half of the mission - I love Viv's specialisation but I don't find her particularly interesting. I'll take Cole and Dorian instead of Cass and Viv :) thanks for the insight people!

Solas is Captain Unhelpful during that scene, particularly as the Inquisitor's LI.

On Morrigan drinking: "You only want the power for yourself."

On himself drinking: "No.  Don't ask me again."  (Me, unaware of who he actually is, talking to the screen: "Got something to share with the class, Solas?")

On the Inquisitor drinking: "No, don't do it."

Okay, dude, shall we make VARRIC drink?  'Cause we're running out of options here.

I love Solas, but this made me ROFL so hard! XD
