So if your Morrigan has the Old God child, when you encounter Flemeth in the Fade it's quite obvious that she takes the Old God's soul/essence from the boy. In the post credit scene Flemeth/Mythal collapses and you see the same effect happening, it would seem that the essence then moved from Flemeth to Solas/Fen'Harel and his eyes glowed blue from it. What still eludes me is what makes the essence of the Old God so important for Mythal and Fen'Harel, it's quite difficult to speculate anything because traditionally it is said that Fen'Harel banished both the Creators and the Forgotten Ones (Old Gods?), but DAI has quite effectively disproved just about everything you know and love from the lore.

The post credits scene is the same whether or not the Old God soul exist in your gamefile, so whatever Solas took was something else.
I'd say it was actually Mythal's soul what he took, but you can see Flemeth squishing a soul wisp through the Eluvian before he gets there, so maybe he took only part of Mythal?
