The question is, does the difference in the graphics bother you?
Sometimes. Other times I'm impressed. It's uneven.
No major bugs, either. The things I've read happening to people in that last-gen bug petition thread baffles me.

I have the game on PS3 and have no complaints with the way it looks. When I'm caught up in a story or good gameplay I don't notice textures or aliasing. I have, however, encountered quite a few freezes, which is annoying. And the load times are horrendous.
I'm wondering if there are any other players who couldn't wait for the time they'll finally be able to get a PS4 and purchased DAI right away.

Oh God... That was exactly what I did back in November. After ten minutes I regreted it and ordered a PS4 the next day.
It was also difficult changing the game with a ps4 version the same day. Nobody should play the game on ps3 or 360.
It's pure torture.

Are you comparing apples to apples here? Party RPGs on PS3 to other party RPGs?
There are other party based RPGs in the PS3 beyond Dragon Age? I didn't come across many in the eight years it was my main console, and I looked hard. A few lame LOTR games, thats about it. FF13 and its cousins were so disapointing.
This game was the reason I upgraded to the PS4 though, and I'm 100% glad that I did. No regrets. After the patch, the game works super smoothly for me. Certainly much better than Origins ever did on my PS3. The game literally killed my first console. Back in those days though, any game not made by Sony or at least Playstation exclusive was likely to be buggy as Hell.

Dragon's Dogma.
Heh.
I envy those who can just order a PS4 "the next day" without thinking twice.
But taxes are ridiculous in my country. It costs the equivalent to 850~1100 dollars.
Well, for me it wasn't "next day". I waited almost a year after the release to get it, and had saved/budgeted for it for years. Sorry that it costs so much in your country though, thats awful. $400 here.
And that's after the price dropped.
It was 1500$ when the system first got here.
In any case, hopefully I can get it for my birthday this year.
Wow and I though my country (Finland) was in top of ridiculously priced items. PS4 is currently 400 euros aka 460 dollars here. Still, too much for me as student to buy just for one game.

When I was in college, I waited two years after the original Playstation came out to get one, and then bought one used from a coworker when he "upgraded" to a Dreamcast. I switched from Nintendo to play Final Fantasy 7, and I've been a Sony guy ever since.
Well it was a choice of getting now or waiting quite a while to play it on the PS4. I'm sure it looks better on the PS4 but I don't mind it on the PS3...except for the tiny writing and I have a 50 inch HD tv....crazy small! When I can afford a PS4 I expect this game will be much cheaper and I might get it and play it just to see the difference. Of course by the time I can buy one I the next one might be out! Darn kids shouldn't need food and cloths etc. and used all my airmiles for a WiiU! Got my PS3 with airmiles so who knows maybe I'll have enough for one sooner than later. Any how I'm enjoying the game and beside some freezing now and than it's been good..well multiplayer seems to have issues but I don't enjoy it as much as I did on ME4.

I'm playing on PS3 and am not bothered about the graphics (except Dorian's moustache when he's at a certain distance)
Of course, I am a dinosaur and was around at the dawn of gaming and remember when console graphics used to consist of a single dot of light and a plastic sheet you had to stick on to the TV screen.
So I'm too busy being impressed that games have graphics to worry about the quality of the graphics and instead focus on the gameplay
The barely legible text is my main problem
Heh.

Well, it's not like I'm a billionaire either. It still costed 350 euros which is not little here. Plus the game that I bought for 69.
Still, I get where you're coming from. But where are you from? 850 dollars for a damn console is outrageous.
I'm currently playing on PS3 and the overall difference in graphics doesn't bother me too much. As long as I'm experiencing the same story as everyone else and the game looks similar to the PS4 version, I'm pretty happy. The only reason I would buy it on PS4 (if I had the money!) would be for the more realistic charactor creations.

Are you in Brazil? I read somewhere how horrible the taxes are there. Don't they tax gaming like gambling or something?
Not playing that much nowadays so I decided not to invest on PS4, but loving the Dragon Age so I bought the PS3 version.
While my heart cries blood every day because of that it's still essentially the same game.
I mean it doesn't look bad per se, just that it doesn't look as good as on PS4.
My main gripe would have to be the text size also. 3 meters away from 40" TV and occasionally I have to squint. Listening while reading subtitles for support works quite nicely as I can decipher most of the stuff from spoken language and only occasionally check on a word here and there to see if I heard correctly.
This because english isn't my main language.
Edit:
Heck, I'd pay that 400€ (Finland) for a PS4 just for Dragon Age and possibly some future games like DA4 or something if it weren't for missus who'd hang me for it.
The graphics do bother me. They are very bad....especially when some don't even load (in the SP) As someone who pretty much only plays MP though I'm used to them and don't really notice them aside from just knowing "they are bad"
Before I get a PS4 they need to give me a reason (GAMES) I always said I would buy one with ME4 came out and I was hoping by then there would be a factory one with a TB hard drive as 500gb is NOT enough. After playing DAI that is no longer the case. I think Last of Us 2 will be the game that makes me move up to the current gen. I will still buy ME4 of course...just reduced price.
To answer the question above my post.
No I will not.
But now, the big question:
Do you guys intend to get it for the PS4?
Yes when I get PS4 and I find used game in sale somewhere in 10 euros ![]()
Not in the near future though, I don't want to buy new system for 1 game.
