I saw 'clamfest' used at some point :/ I think I prefer 'melonfest' though, I'm not a big fan of seafood.
Oh my god! You always get me laughing. ![]()

Also bookmarked this thread so fast tbh, it makes me laugh so bad.
Reading posts of some "men" who feel their "manhood" alienated, is always a nice and funny thing. ![]()

Now that's a horrible mental image.
Even if true, how is this a problem, lol.
it's a plague
a plague of "females"

It's true. Even the high dragons are female, and they're some of the toughest enemies in the game. Clearly a part of Bioware's diabolic feminist agenda.
Or was it the gay agenda? I always get them mixed up.
Why does the game have so many females, specially at the beginning. I created a female character and then just right after the opening cinematic I had to deal with two other women (Cassandra and Liliana) and no male character at all. There were also mentions of Justinia (deceased leader of Chantry) and she was also female.
It felt like a complete female-fest or something.
So I deleted my female character and created a male character.
Just thought I should share this fact , as it did bother me a lot to see females in the decision making position and no males at all. Not sure what was bioware's fascination with putting females in every place of power, at the beginning of the game. I haven't the played the game past the opening mission, so I don't know what awaits me next.
But from what I have seen so far, seriously discouraged me from playing a female character, as I want my game worlds to be balanced among genders.

Sorry, Gif. I have no likes to give you.
Me neither, this system is sh*t.
Let's say it like this: I'm ready to bet that if the contrary is true (the Game being heavily Male leading everything) like in Middle Earth or something like that, OP won't protest at all.
OH MY GOD. Thank God Cassandra doesn't have only one eye... Grrr
Don't worry. Fem quizzy is Leela. ![]()
Cass is Dr Zoidberg................ Jokes! Jokes! Put your fighting words away, Conan. you know I love her. ![]()
Because it just doesn't make sense to see women in decision making positions in older times, because mostly women weren't even considered capable of making decisions in older times, hell bible don't even allow women to teach in schools because of their lesser intelligence (specially to male children). Men have always been considered true power and it just felt completely out of place to see a woman calling the shots.
And a thin templar woman like Cassandra carrying a heavy shield, honestly a woman of her physicality is not given for this kind of labour. Blocking a strong bash on her shield would result her arm to dislocated from her shoulder socket.
If Cassandra was a priest or a mage then it would have made sense, but her physique is not the physique of a shield maiden and besides it appears to be highly unlikely that old religeous school will put a woman in charge of a fighting squad.
These were my first impressions of the game.
But I love Bioware, I loved Baldur's Gate and some of their other productions, thats why i will still play this game. I am sure this game has much to offer in the way of game play. I am pretty sure game play would be awesome.
I don't know what planet you learned history from OP but there were plenty of women in decision making positions in olden times -- read Elizabeth the I, Catherine the Great, Cleopatra, Catherine de Medici, Joan of Arc. Thousands of aboriginal/first nations/native American women in matriarchal tribes.. Besides this is a fantasy game .. Thedas is in no way meant to reflect the reality of medieval Europe anymore than Wolfenstein the New Order is meant to represent the reality of modern Europe. And people are supposed to take this seriously.. there are also to many dragons in this game-- wait its called Dragon Age ... ![]()

Okay, Chuckles, first off this is fantasy not real life history, Einstein. Also, research. Hell, you learn about Joan of Arc in elementary school.
Second, shield maidens weren't even common place in Viking society contrary to popular SJW belief, and when they were, their physique was average because they weren't warriors trained to fight and raid, they were often women who picked up the sword because they had to and were facing dire situations. Which is also why most of the battles you read about with them are losing battles, even though they fought as bravely as everyone.
Learn your ****.
Dragon age has never had an issue with representation of women in key roles, which is good imo.
However when i look at inquisition it i see a certain unbalance in the pivotal roles has occurred.
To a certain extent the heavy focus on the sexist chantry makes an element of this likely, then there's the iconic characters from Origins(Morrigan-Leliana), the iconic character from DA2(Cassandra) who stroy's demanded their presence and the assumption of key roles. The introduction of Vivienne who's status has to be present in order for her potential move to divine make sense. Masked empire introduced two key women to one man to the Orlesian throne story. The seeming unfortunate consequence is that they then had to skew the companion roster vastly in terms of numbers of males.
I actually agree with OP - having so many women in positions of power is totally unrealistic and immersion-breaking in a game that presents a medieval style society. Sure, there was the occasional queen but pretty much every other person in any position of power was a man, so it's just wrong what Bioware does here. Also, what's with all these "elves" and "dwarves" in this game? Just because people have pointy ears or are short you don't have to make them into an entire new race? It was totally weird that they did that. Not to mention these "Qunari", what the hell is that all about? And then all the dragons, everyone knows dragons don't exist!! I mean, there are a lot of medieval stories about knights battling dragons but none of those were actually real! Come on Bioware do some research. And don't even get me started on all this ridiculous magic and spirits and actual demons and stuff...
0/10 for realism here Bioware. Do better.

I will never stop being fascinated at where the "realism" line is drawn for some folks in a fantasy based video game.
