I am very British
except for the tea. Its incredibly scandalous I know, but I'm not greatly keen on tea.
I'm British too, and tea is vile, disgusting stuff that we should have just let the Bostonians have without all that kerfuffle.

Indeed, though I prefer physical copies and I order them from a site. But when i go to a store that also has pc games, sometimes i buy from there as well.
Bless the mentality of most ppl not giving a f00k about your gender here.
Ah most of the stores near me no haz boxed copies. I usually would have to go to a best buy (ugh no thanks) or just order that crap off amazon. (which I used to because my internet blew chunks. Don't have to do that anymore!)
I do say one thing the best buy people usually don't give a damn what I'm buying. They just ring it up and move on. As it should be.
Thankfully.

It's really heartening to see that so many people care so much about equality. It must really bother you guys when you wake up in the morning and think about how we barely have any female leadership IRL and the Church is like 99% male.....
Well we did have female president couple years ago, too bad that she could only be president two seasons in row : (
And instead of getting gay president in the last election we just got ex-banker. Sigh.
I don't care about church though. Therei s lot of female priests too but religion yuck ^^

Try sounding like you have half a brain about cars at the autoshop...or when you're driving a modded out car and you can actually talk about those mods and what they do/why YOU (as a female) chose them...
Never had that problem with bikes or classic cars thankfully, everyone has always been really helpful but I know a lot of places are nightmares for women drivers, either assuming ignorance or taking advantage of it.

Church not so much because as an atheist I have as little to do with the institutions as possible. Leadership, absolutely, but change happens from the bottom up and I am reassured that the precedents have been established and many women are moving into important roles with potential for future advancement. The future in general is looking better, even if there will often be more to do.

I disguise it with sugar, milk, and generous helpings of biscuits on occasions it can't be avoided

In general, I've noticed auto shops can get pretty territorial and aggressive towards a woman that knows what she's talking about - probably because they know she can't be taken advantage of.
I get approached by middle-aged guys a lot asking about my car (at a gas station, in a parking lot, at a traffic light, etc) and they are usually very nice.

Nothing beats dunking chocolate-chip cookies into peppermint tea
And, when it's cold outside, some berry tea with a good helping of amaretto

BTW, I use the term "nerd" in an endearing way, as I am in fact a nerd...
I prefer the term "geek" myself, i usually think of those guys who resent women so act hostile & condescending towards them when i think of "nerd"

Berry tea sounds intriguing. Amaretto is beautiful. Disaronno and coke is one of my favourite alcoholic beverages

I wonder if it's regional, I haven't had any problems with gameshops etc. Harasshment in online games is different issue though, you get that always if the fellow players know that you are female ^^
I live in a really conservative region and I have had 0 issues with game stores. The ones that give me issues are comic shops. There's usually at least one 40ish fat guy wearing a faded original Star Wars shirt breathing through his mouth following me around in those.

I just realized that my post sounded a bit hostile. It was purely aimed at those who are concerned that men aren't the only relevant characters in a goddamn video game. If they are worried by inequality to that extent then real life must depress them terribly.Church not so much because as an atheist I have as little to do with the institutions as possible. and coffee too if you want it. My nan recently sent me up 5 jars despite having even written down that no-one in my household drinks it. Worst of all, two of the jars were decaf so I can't even pass them off to friends who like coffee because apparently no-one who likes coffee drinks decaf. There are a lot of coffee and walnut cakes in my near future.
I'm not all that big on tea except for cold green tea and a very specific brand of sweet tea. Golden Peak. **** is like Andraste's tears.
But coffee... they don't call it Nectar of the Gods for nothing.

All your unwanted jars will be mine then, decaf welcome too gratz.
I'm certain I drink at least 5 cups a day, also a cup of coffee in the morn, caffeine addict yo.
