Well, since I already get to translate this whole recipe for TeraBat, let's put it here.

Oat-Raisin-Cranberries Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 80 gr flour (normal, complete, your pick)
  • 160 gr oatmeal (not the instant ones)
  • 80 gr raisins, cranberries, or whatever you want (choco chip & nuts work well too!)
  • 6 gr chemical leavening (I don't know what it is in English... it's Levure Chimique in French)
  • ½ teaspoon of salt (optional, I don't use it)
  • 85 gr unsalted butter (or salted ones but don't add extra salt)
  • 100 gr brown sugar
  • 50 gr sugar
  • 1 egg

Method :

  1. Bowl (a), mix flour, oatmeal, raisins/Cranberries, chemical leavening, salt
  2. Bowl ( B), sugar & butter, mixed. Then add the egg
  3. Add bowl (a) to ( B), mix with spatula (never with kitchen aid or electrical mixer)
  4. Put at least 1h in the fridge. Then make small balls around 2 cm diameter & another 1h in the fridge
  5. Oven preheated at 170 °C.
  6. Bake for 10 minutes. I use aluminium baking tray with sulfurized paper (papier sulfurisé, dunno what you call it in English). If you don't want to take risk do it 8 min + 2 min (depends a lot on the oven actually).

As an fyi for anyone who wants to give this recipe a whirl, I'm pretty sure that Levure Chimique means 'baking powder'.

^This.

Also I find it pretty ridiculous people still argue about feminism, sexism and whatnot. Tbh entire western world IS feministic by default. Think about it - if Europe, both Americas, Australia and some pretty big Asian and African countries weren't at core feministic, women indeed wouldn't be foremost respected and been able to do pretty much everything they want. Just sayin'.

West learned to respect women from Ottomans, before coming in contact with Ottomans, treatment of women in western world was unspeakable.

But that's off topic again.

Btw I am surprised people are still posting in this topic. I only meant to share my initial experience of the game that it felt and appeared to me, didn't mean too much by it though.

I still think its gonna be a great game.

Now that I think about it, yeah. There is alot on women in power in DA:I. Casandra and Leliana were running the show before Inquisitor, there was the Juisticia or what's her name that got blown up. We got the queen in Orlais a good chance for queen ruler in Feralden , Warder commander is female to. Its kinda funny. If you make a female Inqu. Culen is the only male by the wartable lol. But I think its part of this world lore lol. If you think about it, in Thedas  "Jesus" is "Bride of the maker" so I think, no wonder females has so much power.

Well if we go for realism and stuff, maybe we should have female cut of their right breast because this makes it easier to use the bow, or a spear.

You know, like the Amazons. (except they didn't cut it off but burned it so much that the breast simply wouldn't grow)

 ...Or they could simply use padding or bind their breasts  .

Lol, between this thread and the Bull one I'm starting to wonder if something happened to the mods. It's amazing how they've managed to stay open this long.

And thank you all for the trololol vids and cupcake recipes, my day is now complete

I personally don't feel there's a " movement " to compensate anything or history. They have simply stories to tell and women are entirely a part of them. I like how people always find new ways to be offended for something on this forum. Bioware simply gave a good representation of women in their games and that's it. Female characters aren't just victims or innocents or useless in the plot. We have also strong characters, we have antagonists, we have female characters competent or in a powerful position, we have random captains or soldiers as npcs, as it is the case for male characters in DA.

People are intellectually dishonest if they aren't able to find strong male charaters, male who are good guys, or competent. For me, in DAI, Cullen, Dorian, Iron Bull and Solas are competent. And let's not forget that an opinion is hardly a fact, and that in the end it's a matter of perspective and that's why it's not easy to listen to those subjective statements given " as objective facts ". I don't think at all that Alistair was incompetent as a king, or necessarily more than Anora. I like him hardened and he does seem to be a good ruler. When I read in a post yesterday that the Chevalier Gregoire from DAO in the other thread was supposed to be an incompetent as another example of male = incompetent, I rolled my eyes and stopped reading the thread. Gregoire for me is everything but incompetent.  For every poster thinking that Loghain was a ridiculous jerk, a traitor incompetent, there is another one who thinks that he was a patriot, a good soldier and a competent ruler. Also not everyone prefer Celene over Gaspard, it is very far from the truth. I always choose Gaspard over Celene, and i am not able to choose Celene in any of my playthrough.

The chantry is a matriarchy, so it makes sense that male characters into this organization are less relevant with their roles. If a game tells me that women are those who rule the world and that mens struggle to find their place in the universe of another game, then it is totally okay that I see almost always female characters in powerful positions. Because it is totally coherent with the universe. I actually like when a world respects its lore. I'd be pissed off, if a male character could be suddenly elected as the new divine in Orlais for example. In Tevinter that makes sense, not in the south.

When I look at Petrice and Meredith, they don't appear at all better than Loghain. As characters first, but also as antagonists. Those female characters can been seen as jerks, stupid, and doing horrible stuff. We can kill them. If there was any agenda to absolutely picture women in a better light than men, well it pretty much failed there, lol. Like I said, Bioware decided that they were entirely a part of this world like male characters.

As for samson vs Calpernia. Yes, I do admit that the latter is much better to me, but it is more the result of the templar path being better developped to me than the mage path, and that has nothing to do with any agenda to put a female character in a better light than a male character. People are overreacting over nothing, and play too much with their imagination. I have listened to Samson during his judgements and he has pretty much his motivations too, like Calpernia. I understood what he felt, so again not everyone thought the same.

Anyway, this topic is a joke, and I am uncertain why it isn't locked yet. Nothing productive could come from this.

I'm not so sure. It produced your excellent post here, for one thing.

Also cupcake recipes. I'm very impressed it hasn't been locked. I predicted 10-15 pages.

Boy, was I wrong.

Okay, so I know fake larp combat is in no way similar to Real World, Gonna Kill Some People combat.

But!

We still use real bows, just with a much lower poundage for the draw.

And we have some very busty ladies doing the archer/assassin thing, and not once have their breasts got in the way of the bowstring. Your wrists and hands are in far greater peril, and that's regardless of gender.

No one's ever said this in their own thread and actually meant it, lol.

99.99 percent of the time, OP is acting innocent, as if they didn't know their thread would be lulzy. And if you are surprised... then lol.

Anyway, I'd give you the benefit of the doubt, but if I did and you really believed what you just said, I'd lose faith in humanity that much more.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

Wait hold up hold up this was like 10 pages back and as much as I want to read thorough all the pages I missed because I assumed that dear lord, this thread had run its course...I saw that some dude claimed this game had an absurd amount of bisexual/lesbian women and that he was going to note them all which was very exciting to me because I had no idea so.

Did he ever post that list?

I need it for science. yeah, science.

I don't think so. But let's make our own list! I count:

- Sera

- Leliana

- Josephine

- Harding

- Celene

- Briala

- Divine Justinia

- Ritts

- The apostate that Ritts was 'passing time' with, but she's dead before we arrive on the scene. (Oh noes, a dead lesbian!)

So out of dozens and dozens of characters with speaking parts, nine women that we know like other women. Ridiculous!

Aren't we forgetting Merrill and Isabella? :P

Why just female gays and bis anyway and no mention of men? It was odd having most of the main cast like that in DA 2.

I think the first list just focuses on DAI characters?

But if we're expanding, Marjolaine should go on that list! (though she rather uses sex as a weapon, and would probably sleep with someone she wasn't attracted to if she thought it would get her an advantage).

Also, every character who comes forward when you visit either the Pearl or the Blooming Rose as a female character and ask to see the ladies.
