Well considering how many wars Dragon Age seems to have then its now wonder that women had to fill in the roles. Plus why not? The only reason we seem to have more men in power is because most of the world's cultures seem to be male-dominated.

First, I'm a big fan of both of your posts...and your name! Big fan. I'm actually already pretty fixated on goat's cheese, even the stuff you buy in stores (goat cheese with blueberries at Trader Joes, yum!). I got to go to the Surfing Goat Dairy (also in Maui, lol) and I was pretty high on life when I went on the tour and got to feed the goats. I ran all around the fence, trying to get to every goat, especially the little ones (so cute! With their eyes!). Then I bought two spreads, a bar of soap, and a dozen chocolates...all made with goats milk! Truly a thrilling experience for me. I regret the flippancy of my post you quoted, and will never again foolishly adopt a limited mental understanding of the wondrous versatility of goat's milk.

Second, you said your goats...Can we have pictures? It may be important, you see. To further our education. About the noble dairy goat.

I have SO MANY goat pics, but I'm on my phone and Flickr doesn't want to give me the code, the bugger. If you're on Instagram, look up HolyGoatsEmporium to find goats and other residents!

I make cheese and soap and lotion, because there's just me and Mr. GoatLady so we get seriously overloaded with milk even when I'm only milking one goat.

Third, in regards to the preparation of roast bug, would you consider Syrah an acceptable substitute for the Merlot?

Really it's just "whatever leftover wine is taking up kitchen space". My mother comes to visit and leaves partial bottles of merlot, and I can't drink red wine so it gets used as a marinade. Whiskey would probably also be good but I can and do drink whiskey so I've never tried. Rabbit/Nug looks like chicken but tastes richer, like maybe chicken basted with pork fat. It stands up well to any marinade really.

I wish to second the request for pictures of the goats! What breed are they? How many do you have?

Are they Nubians? The ones with the floppy ears? Those are adorbs!

The breeding herd is two pure Nubian does, 3 Nubian crosses, one Saanen, two LaManchas. Two of the Nubian crosses are my bucks. Then there's the three neutered boys who just hang around to be loved, one Nubian cross and two minis. There's also a sheep. She's very angry.

Speaking of sheep and goats, am I the only one annoyed that the "rams" in DAI are clearly GOATS, not sheep, and therefore miss-named? They should be bucks!

Ooh, drinkies! 

 

Here's a cocktail I make for people who say they don't like gin, and they always love it. It comes out tasting like an alcoholic lemonade. It's sometimes called a White Lady (as a variation on the Pink Lady), but that always sounds weird to me, so I call it a Delilah.

 

- 2 parts gin

- 1 part Triple Sec, Cointreau or orange liquer (get the good kind, this is what makes the drink)

- 1/2 part lemon juce

- Simple syrup (optional, if you like sweet drinks add in another 1/2 part of this). 

 

Shake and strain into glass, garnish with a lemon twist. 

 

Another gin drink which people really enjoy is the French 75, or Soixante-Quinz. So named because drinking one is like getting shot by French artillery. 

 

- 2 parts gin 

- 1 part Lemon juice

- 1/2 part simple syrup (or a few teaspoons of superfine sugar)

- Champagne

 

Shake the gin, lemon juice and simple syrup in a shaker with ice. Strain into a glass and top off with champagne (about half a glass' worth).

No darling, you simply missed the nuances of the conversation. What we were really discussing, my dear, is the complicated effects of a patriarchal society on the feminine mind. You see this clearly with the image of Ivy and her "tentacles", a symbol for the entrapping power of the male genitalia.

 

I don't have to tell you that the image of a woman using such an appendage... is tragic. A perfect symbol for females poisoned by the male patriarchal way, to the point that they don't even realize they're helping to spread the male lies. Like "I like cooking" or "sex with penetration is enjoyable".

 

All lies, whether they know it or not. The machinations of males to control femininity, my dear.

Have you had Bombay Sapphire East? It's really good - it's got lemongrass and peppercorns in it, so it's a little spicier than normal Bombay Sapphire. It's my favorite brand.
