recipes hmm I'd post one for hoe cakes but I can barely remember what goes in them anymore. Can't even make a guess since I've been up all night doing blood magic so very light headed from that. This thread is worth the blood loss though

Well speaking of cooking and recipes I'm supposed to be making a pineapple upside-down cake in a minute, but I got hungry this morning and had carrot cake for breakfast because it didn't involve cooking I'm not sure I can trust myself with a second type of cake in one day.

Not the hoe cake recipe used at my house but its still a recipe so it counts right?

 

Hoecakes

 

2 cups cornmeal

1/2 cup boiling water

shortening (bacon fat)

1/2 teaspoon of salt

1/2 cup of cold water

 

Mix thoroughly, shape with hands, fry in a heavily greased pan, turn to cook both sides evenly
