And like Nathaniel, he also tried to kill the Warden around the time of their first meeting...

 

(Although as one of my favourite line of dialogue in Awakening points out, most of your best friends have tried to kill you at some point)

I need to find some art that shows young Loghain...their appearance is pretty similar then.

Well, Sten can duel you for command in Haven, Shale often half-joking threatens to squish you, Zevran was hired to assassinate you, Loghain was your enemy for most of the game and you can recruit him?

 

And that's only if you go for a "good" Warden.

Hmm well I never had to duel Sten...interesting! Aww I love Shale threatening my Warden, they were sister by then and Shale even said that she would mourn my Warden's paste if she died by getting crushed by the Archdemon. Ah Zevran...I forgot about that part, lol.

 

Loghain still has never joined my party...he gets killed every time...

I've had him join my party a couple of times. It's cool, gives you a different perspective on the guy. I quite like him.

I like him as a character and all that jazz. I did read all the novels with him in it...so I know him from every angle, yet when I compare him to Alistair...he just doesn't make the cut. Usually my Warden is romancing Alistair when I want Loghain in my party, so that throws a wrench in that plan.

I like him as a character and all that jazz. I did read all the novels with him in it...so I know him from every angle, yet when I compare him to Alistair...he just doesn't make the cut. Yeah, I only have him in it when I am romancing Morrigan. If I have Alistair as an LI then he loses his head.

I also always have Alistair kill Loghain since it feels as if it would be more personal for Ali to do it when compared to the Warden. The Warden gets their revenge on Howe and I think Alistair killing Loghain helps him grow and mature.

I like my revenge to be complete, so being the big man on campus, I hog all the good stuff for myself.

 

I respect Loghain. But, being a Cousland seals his fate for me every time.

It took a lot of effort to get Alistair on the throne, so I'm not going to risk him on the front lines and getting killed by the Archdemon after all that. Frankly, if sitting on the throne and porking Loghain's hot daughter for the rest of his life in complete safety is a problem for him, then I'm honestly wondering if the man's even half as smart as I give him credit for?

Same here. I felt for the guy since I read the books and to be honest you should probably not even play DA:O until you read those books. Otherwise you have no idea how massive an impact your choices have on the world.

Hell no. In my PTs where I am not playing as a female Cousland then I have my guy become king, romance Morrigan and go off with her in the Eluvian. Best of the both worlds.
