Biggest disappoinment in Skyrim was that Erandur wasn't romance option. Also most romance option were weirdest and you could just marry people without having any kind of emotional connection with them like after you gave beggar money you could marry him. What a gold-digger.

 

Then there is Witcher which is even worse. Somehow it calls one-nightstands as romances, but worst is that you have those one-nightstands in situations that don't make any sense like Witch wanting to prove her innocence and what a good woman she is by having suddenly sex with you in the cave while peasants are trying to hunt her down? Sounds more guilty witch than innocent one for me XD

My mistake Actually I never quite got the hang of that in the game could explain why I'm not so great at it. Weirdly it takes me a few runs before I get stuff like what to craft and what to horde down just right.

I remember I got into New Vegas right after Fable 3. The contrast was overwhelming, to say the least.

I love that game. I love that game so much. I am the sort of person who would love EVE Online. But I will never, ever play it, because those bastards cancelled the WoD MMO. After they killed my favorite RPG publisher. 

 

Also, props for picking VV and not Jeanette. Jeanette is obviously damaged, VV is a way better option.

Agreed! Well, not about Serana. But definitely about romances in Skyrim! 

 

I did another round of DA2 while waiting for Skyrim to come out. And say what you like about the mechanics and combat of DA2, the one thing they got really right were the characters. Which is kind of amazing, considering your opportunities to speak with them are rather limited at times. 

 

After going through the heartbreak and angst of a Fenris romance (I had no idea he'd leave you basically after he put his pants back on), the companions and marriage system in Skyrim were just so disappointing with how flat they were. 

 

Definitely, none of the game mechanics and combat stuff in DA2 mattered to me because of how awesome those characters were. You really got the sense that over the course of the game and those several years, they became a family... albeit, a completely dysfunctional who squabbled endlessly... but a family nonetheless.
