Most of you, people, are laughing out of loud because the opinion stated in the opening post. Even if it was troll, according to the previous topic of this kind, it's not the behavior of adults. You ridicule all the statements, but in fact I have not seen any post with meritoric answer to him. As I believe that everybody has law to state his opinion, I believe that for the Maker's breath, another topic shouldn't be closed simply because there are opinions of some peopole about female in leadership roles overshadows male's. Why it seems to me, that if there was topic about females oppressed in Thedas it would be rated as a valuable thesis to discuss?
In my opinion, a seed of truth lies everywhere.
I was writing about this already in the previous topic of this kind, but I would like to state this once again. It's fact that in general female characters in Dragon Age series are presented positivly, even if they're in the end adversaries (Meredith), they are written more wisely and have more motivations for their acts. Males on the other hand, are simply the one who needs to be killed in most cases. Those, who are psychopaths (Uldred, Quentin, Erimond, Otto Alrik) and we can punish them, are males. Why can't we do that to Clarel? She had understand her fault? It doesn't matter, her body should rot in the darkest cave of Skyhold. What's more, even dog was more masculine that most of the "male" companions in Origins. In most examples, they are pathetic, whinny and soft kids unable to overcome the difficulties on their own way (Maker, bless teyrn Loghain...). There are more females in Dragon Age series that deserve titles etc., but since Loghain there was no male character who would equal to them at the level of writing.
As for the Inquisition, there's lack of answer to the Chantry clerics abouth the Divine selection like: "f... off, I don't care about yours Chantry. I belong to the Imperial one". Seriously, why should every Inquisitor care about who becames the Divine of female Chantry? It's structure and activists are in my opinion so pathetic that solving their problems was a waste of time, just as the Game at Orlesian court.
For everyone reading this post - I am not a mysoginist, this kind of thinking and repeating everywhere is pathetic. Get adult and think about it, let's discuss on arguments and not be lead by the dark side of force. I truly believe that there should be more male characters equaling to the many of female characters in power. It's not about the position of woman, but uneven level of character writing and Bioware ideas for who should be antagonist etc.
