Inquisition: It's looking like it'll be Cass. I like how they pulled her romance together.

I've also romanced Josie with my rogue and my wife has romanced Blackwall, I plan on creating more characters to do all the available romances this time around.

Same here, except I don't think we'd use destroy in the same way. Nails on a chalkboard for me. Dat lisp. Cassandra's though is like honeydew on a breeze.

It looks like none of my canon playthroughs were first/blind playthroughs. I just pick the playthroughs that I thought were the most fun or interesting. I don't try to build a "best outcomes" world state. I pick out what I think my characters would do, and sometimes they are selfish, emotional, make a choice that doesn't go as planned, or make a choice that has a negative/wrong outcome.

DA2: Fenris (Even though I liked Anders in Awakening his romance made me really uncomfortable)

DAI: Solas (first time I've made the "plot-important one" my canon, and in Inquisition it really did elevate the story for me)

But for my cannon play-through will be either one of the three below.

DA:I - Cassandra with Male Qunari (Warrior 'Adaar')

DA:O - Morrigan with Male Elf (Rogue 'Mahariel')

DA2 - Isabela with Male Hawk (Warrior)

DA:I - Cassandra with Male Human (Warrior 'Trevelyan')

Cannon 3:

DA:O - Leliana with Male Human (Warrior 'Cousland')

DA2 - Isabela with Male Hawk (Mage)

The main pattern I've noticed is that I'm particular about pacing.  Inquisition is a marked improvement over the previous two games in that respect.

Inquisition: Probably Solas for lore reasons. I still need to try Cassandra though.

DA2: Anders, without a doubt. I romanced him nearly everytime... I need to replay DA2 to see the Fenris romance, I don't think I ever even completed his. I also stab Anders, so.... tragic.

DAI: Once again, I'm a bit stuck. I feel like I have to stick with a (h0mo is censored?) romance, but I like Cassandra so much more. Just not her (tjts is also censored?) I'll say Cassandra for now, with IB a close second.

My canon is always my first play through unspoiled:

 

US female mage Warden + Unhardened Alistair who is king

Rogue female Hawke + Anders, executed

Rogue Inquisitor + Cullen, happy ending, Yay!

 

As for my preferences, I did run Alistair slightly more often than Zevran although I enjoyed both. I vastly preferred Fenris in DA2 once I cracked the broody exterior. And I haven't run enough plays of DA:I to know for sure if Cullen is my favorite.

Dorian is actually my favorite character in Inquisition, but the Solas romance is just so beautiful and tragic. I also found after romancing Dorian that I actually prefer the friendship dynamic between my Quizzy and Dorian... it's such a fun friendship and they're obviously really close. Just loved it.

Well, for me:

 

* Male.

* Also male.

* Dorian and Anders were both my first choice and continued to be. In DAO, I romanced Zevran the first time (I got into Bioware for the same-sex romances), but when I tried out Morrigan the second time, I ended up getting much more emotionally invested than I did with Zevran (probably because Zevran just really isn't my kind of guy), so I consider her my "canon" now.

I'm female, and I generally run my romances as straight because that's just my preference. I don't discriminate against the LI if they happen to be bi. If I did, DA2 would have been a very lonely game. But I just don't get into s/s, and that's fine.

DA2: Anders. Like myself some tragedy in my romance, My Hawke ended up supporting him because his life story alone changed her.

DA:I Solas. He is so awesome its ironclad. Due to him female elf playthrough pretty much overshadows others.

Apparently I have a weakness for blond knightly men. It's not surprising, in most fictional universes I'm interested in I seem to be attracted to either noble knights or dark, broody, anti-hero type warriors. A case which encompasses all three characters.

 

It's a shame how in this game there are no half-elves and elf+human children are all humans. So I'm a bit shooting myself in the foot here given my love for elves as a fantasy race and elf/human romances.

 

Best of them all I would say Cullen. Alistair will always have a special place in my heart, as Origins got me into RPGs and his part was no less in that. Cullen just had the right amount of passion, complexity and sweetness in it that I am glad a character like him exists, makes me glad to have a game where we see a character develop over three subsequent games and become a core member of a group dedicated to saving the world, thanks to the fans and writers.

I made a male just to romance Morrigan and I did it on DA:I to romance Cass as well. 

 

Anyway you're right. They add the most to plot, but Alistair is there somewhere behind Morrigan

Hmm maybe I should define my answers more.

 

So if I go for canon this is actually how my list would look:

 

DAO: Female Cousland warrior x no one, headcanon that she romanced Nate though

DA2: Male Hawke (blood)mage x Fenris (friendmance).

DAI: I think canon would be female Trevelyan mage x Cullen.

 

But I kinda want to differ my canon romances from my canon characters since my canon characters don't often find the kind of love that I like XD

 

Romance canons:

 

DAO: Male Tabris warrior X Zevran.

DA2: Male Hawke (blood)mage x Fenris (friendmance).

DAI: Male Adaar mage x Dorian.

 

Also if someone is intrested about ME then my canon romance female Shephard engineer with Thane.. but after he died Kaidan which however was very akward and not that lovey dovey.. so umm Thane? ^^

DAI:  It's a tossup between (first playthrough) Female Human Rogue/Cullen and (second) Male Human Mage/Dorian.  There's so much that I like about both that I haven't decided yet which one I prefer.

 

Additionally, since someone else mentioned it...

 

ME(3): M!Shep/Kaidan.  It's the romance I wanted since the first game.  I wept salty tears of joy when it was announced that it was an option.

DA2:  Fenris.  

 

DAI: Solas would be the one I felt was my canon romance I think. Cullen was first though(because Nostalgia; ended up meh with my first character though. And I really wanted to be gaga over the Cullenmance.)  I created male characters just to romance Cassandra and then Dorian because I loved them both with my first character but they were all *hand* "No. <friendzone>"  Solas was actually my third character's romance, but instantly felt like THE character for my "ultimate" run. I am only sorry I used "default" world state for her instead of my import.  ;(  Cassandra was my first characters first choice though.  Cassandra just thought she was her best bud.  Totally unrequited.   The more I play the game though, the more I like Solas.  I started off hating him too.  So that is something.
