Oh but haven't you heard?Lesbianism can be cured by d*ck I presume thats why its more okay in some peoples eyes.... Honestly its stuff like this that makes me think that they would probably censur my ordinary day to day life if they could (probably offensive to someone)

Edit: I hope people understands that I'm being ironic but the number of times that my friend got the question if her and her girlfirend wanted company in bed is more than I can count.

living will be the next offense

LOL. Classic... how annoying, having a bug right at the end though.

I purchased DA:I pretty much on its release date, I'm on PS4 as well... it was bugs galore. The dialogue used to sh*t me to tears, talking in cut-scenes and they just stare into space as if they're on some hardcore dope. After they released an update it seems to be going fine... aside from Sera repeating the same lines during combat, but that's all good.

I reckon! If my IQ had her way she would have just taken Sera as soon as she arrived in Skyhold. Makes sense... especially if you're Qunari and you get told, "You're wellllllllllll fit."

But no... I have to run around making decisions she likes, use a couple of cringe-worthy pick up lines and finally we can do the deed. :P

Fortunately I started to play after the first patch. I can't recall Sera being too repetitive, Solas and Varric on the other hand... "Varric, you fough Corypheus once before?" Oh god no, stop, I heard it so much that it just pops up in my head at random times.

Yeah Sera isn't easy. If I replied something I judged to be positive, she often got angry, but if I thought I said something that might offend her she was cool about that. Wut. Weird girl :D But I liked her anyway. She represented the "other side of the coin", with so different opinions than mine that I felt a need to consider it. I like when my ego is challenged that way.

Yeah thing I've noticed with Sera is that she responds much better if you use the middle or bottom responses on the dialogue wheel, oh and thinks you're a loony if you believe you're the Herald of Andraste, etc.

I think this is why she cops a lot of hate -- the fact that she gets a bit full on and argumentative when you're only trying to be nice. I always play as a douche-bag or smart-arse in my Bioware games (sarcastic Hawke = GOD) so I saw a completely different side to Sera. It's refreshing to see somebody taking a liking to her character, even suffering through her b*tchiness.

Yeah I was suprised that she liked me I almost constantly play a smartass in games. I really like Sera and I didn't think I would.

Fortunately, I didn't think I'm the Herald of Andraste. Her problem was pretty much everything else :D  But I'm rarely bothered by it, except a couple of times, because I tend to agree with Solas on a lot of things. Still, no reason not to like her. No reason not to like anyone.  :D  Maybe Vivienne was the only one who really bothered me sometimes. Anyway, why are there an option to kick Sera from the inquisition? I didn't have it on any other team members if I recall correctly. Or it has something to do with approval points?

Honestly, I always thought it had to do with Sera's association with the Friends of Red Jenny, which is essentially an 'organization' of thieves.  Every other companion has ties to legitimate organizations or have knowledge/skills that are especially helpful for the Inquisition.  Vivienne is a First Enchanter and the leader of the 'loyalist mages', IB's got the Chargers and he's a Ben-Hassrath agent, Blackwall's a 'Warden', Dorian has ties in Tevinter, Varric has his info network, Cassandra was the Right Hand of the Divine, and Solas has knowledge about ancient elven artifacts.  Cole's.... tricky, since he has no real ties to any organization, but you get 2 chances to turn him away in his recruitment quest (iirc).  Then again, his nature as being a sort of healing element for people could be a valuable asset, not to mention that he gives a very unique perspective on spirits and demons, which could also prove valuable due to the Inquisition's role.

Sera's kind of the oddball of the bunch.  She doesn't really have any plot relevance, but she does give you access to at least a few operations on the War Table.  That could be why you're able to kick her out at any time.

I never thought about it that way, but yes, makes sense. Sera is always the exception from everything. I mean, the girl cannot be figured out. One time when I made a decision, the whole bunch approved, except her. Come on... <_<

I think Sera's pretty important... I mean, you recruit her, do her missions. You get bees!!!!!

And those bees are great.

Otherwise, I have the slight suspicion that she's part of the game to lighten it up and make it funny... although, that's subjective because a lot of people don't find her funny at all, rather immature and stupid. I just recall the start of the game how everything was full on serious... I was actually surprised when I met her, fighting a bunch of enemies with "no breeches".

Or perhaps she does have an important role and that isn't revealed to us yet... particularly if that Andruil conspiracy is true.

Cassandra's boobs? Go right ahead and watch. The femquisitor naked after Blackwall's romp in the hay? Knock yourself out. Iron Bull's bondage fetish? Oh, classy, enjoy. Sera giggling while naked on top of the femquisitor? That's art, baby. Dorian's butt? Whoa, that's some gay dude stuff right there. Lesbians are cool and all, but we can't have just anyone seeing two naked men in a room together. Let's go ahead and flag that last one as inappropriate and make you sign in to YouTube to see it. Won't anyone think of the children?

Andruil conspiracy?  Wellll... I have to admit that I....*cough*... I haven't played with the other Dragon Age games, so a lot of things aren't clear with its history. But I intend to correct this mistake, just as the using of Sera's bees, because, honestly, in the heat of the battle and feelings, I totally forgot about that asset.

I'm glad I don't find Sera irritating. More fun for me. I'll never forget how confused I was when I first met her. "Start to make sense!" And that feeling never truly vanished :D

Wait, probably too vulgar....

Yeah Firewing, "Can we take a minute to let sense reassert itself?"

I particularly enjoyed using the response. "Sure, I glow. What's going on?" Reminded me a little of sarcastic Hawke.

Basically, the theory is that since Sera's secondary tarot card looks similar to the Andruil Mosaic in the Temple of Mythal and her personality seems similar to Andruil's, it's possible that Sera is Andruil, like how Solas is Fen'Harel.  According to one of the tales about Andruil, she started hunting too many creatures, including elves and Mythal had to take drastic measures to stop her, trapping her and erasing her memory, iirc.

All I can say is that if that theory ends up being true, Mythal preserve us...   :P

Ack! Now I remember reading it lol. Hm...everything's possible. And oh god no, don't get me started on Solas...I'm still in shock, with a bunch of weird, unexplainable feelings, neither positive nor negative. Right now I'm replaying the game only to observe him under the influence of this information. He was always exceptional to me, but even with this sentiment I wasn't prepared for this. Well played, Bioware...well played.

BioWare have a tendency to troll us in game...

*cough* Blackwall *cough*.

I observed a pattern... when a character in Inquisition is being dodgy and evasive, a can of worms will be unleashed.

Unfortunately, I got the same feeling with Sera, because even if you romance her, you still don't really know her. You could put it down to having a traumatised past that she doesn't want to talk about but... that doesn't explain how she knows to use a bow without training. Plus, the romance itself is very "Sex! Sex! Quick, to bed!" Almost like a distraction... ;) or maybe she just likes sex. Could be both.

If she is Andruil, she doesn't know or has her suspicions but would rather pretend she's just a person and doesn't want to know about it.

Yeah, Solas' romance is best experienced on your first playthrough.  I'm actually kind of glad that I got pulled towards romancing Solas in my first playthrough before DA:I launched.  Especially considering how, from what I've heard, if you romance Sera as f!Lavellan, she gives you an ultimatum about giving up your beliefs or breaking up with her.  Honestly, if I did end up romancing her in my first playthrough, there's a really good chance that I would've just broken up with her.

Anyway, back to Solas.  I really liked the Fade scene, as well as the balcony scene.  The last romance scene with him was really emotional, and when he makes that offer to you, I just stared at the screen like, "............... sh*t, what do I choose?!  :( "  Is that similar to your reaction?   ^_^

Yes, also Blackwall...but I got him back!

For me Solas didn't seem to be too evasive, I mean yes we didn't get a full BG story about him, but that's what I expect when I meet a wise and all-serious mage who walks the fade and sees worlds and dreams long gone (I've always wanted to do it too!), even if he turns out to be a...dunnowhat. Sera is the one who really seems to be running from herself, but still I wouldn't suspect anything about her. Naive me...

Honestly, I don't know if my reaction is the same, because I still hadn't finished the second playthrough, and I didn't get closer first, because well...because I liked him too much :D yea weird sh*t, I can't really explain that one. But after the finale, I just simply got too curious. I thought it will be awkward, but actually, I liked how it turned out to be so playful in the start. I really didn't expect it from Mr. Serious.

Anyone else noticed the shrine or what the hell on the Exalted Plains, in the area where the dragon can be found? It's for Fen'Harel. When you enter the region, Solas says "It's quiet here. I like it."
For f*ck's sake! Little things which are actually hints yet coudn't ever be figured out  D:

Well, there are Fen'Harel statues all over the place in DA:I.  Never heard Solas say that, but then, I didn't really go dragon hunting until post-campaign in my first playthrough and I had Vivienne as my resident mage in my second playthrough.  I also don't remember that shrine, but I'll try harder to look for it next time I go to take down the Greater Mistral.

.... erm... what was the original topic of this thread?

I was pretty naïve about it all too, it was only after the fact that I thought about all those little hints (Solas and Blackwall) that it made sense.

And Sera... well, I was just blinded. When I first read about the "Andruil conspiracy" my first reaction was this is a load of bullsh*t. But... then I got to thinking about how evasive she is, and how she sh*ts bricks when something to do with elven culture, magic and the fade occurs. Going to deal with the Wardens in the hissing wastes, for example, and using the sarcastic responses in dialogue and having her disapprove like no tomorrow when she usually loves those responses.. I was thinking what the f*ck. Clearly I can't joke about subject matters she doesn't like.

LOL Gamer. I believe it was a rant about how stupid YouTube is... but that train left a long time ago. ;)

I never notice these statues and all of those little details because sadly, I just want to get those fetch quests over and done with.

The shrine only stands out because it's a landmark, if I remember correctly, so you can read a short description about it.

Seriously, some moments in this game... when I first read about Fen'Harel, the Dread Wolf, it instantly came to my mind how his name and story resembles to that of Fenrir, the big malevolent wolf of northern mythologies. In the next hours, I found an astrarium describing the Fenrir constellation, stating that it might be a later version of Fen'Harel.....
I also thought that these legends could get it totally wrong, that probably his motivations were much more nuanced, so let's be careful what to think about them. Later the statue of Fen'Harel in the Temple of Mythal, and the revelation about Solas just proved it.
And oh yes, the last romance scene. When I made my elf character, I was a bit disappointed that I can't make her without any facial markings. And then Solas just makes an offer to remove it!
Damn. As if my brainwaves are somewhat connected to...well, someone in the Bioware team :D
Did you mean it was a hard decision to you to remove/not to remove the markings, or just the whole situation? If the latter, I agree. It was one of those moments when the possible reactions didn't contain those I would possibly choose. It's weird how disturbing it is to not be able to express our feelings properly, even it's only a videogame.

Yeah we kind of....go offtopic, but you guys seem to enjoy it too, and it doesn't hurt anyone. Plus, we didn't just simply brought in something irrelevant, the topic  generated further thoughts, and so on. This weird thing called 'conversation' works in mysterious ways  ;)

I never notice these statues and all of those little details because sadly, I just want to get those fetch quests over and done with.

Ha lol. I do fetch quests exactly because it gives me an opportunity to observe little details even more. Not that I would need it to do so. There's hardly a point on any map I didn't visit, even the damn roofs are having my footprints.

I know right, this Sera girl. I remember those moments well. In one second she likes something, next time...I can f*ck off according to her. *scratches head*
