Well, there are Fen'Harel statues all over the place in DA:I. Never heard Solas say that, but then, I didn't really go dragon hunting until post-campaign in my first playthrough and I had Vivienne as my resident mage in my second playthrough. I also don't remember that shrine, but I'll try harder to look for it next time I go to take down the Greater Mistral.
The shrine only stands out because it's a landmark, if I remember correctly, so you can read a short description about it.
Seriously, some moments in this game... when I first read about Fen'Harel, the Dread Wolf, it instantly came to my mind how his name and story resembles to that of Fenrir, the big malevolent wolf of northern mythologies. In the next hours, I found an astrarium describing the Fenrir constellation, stating that it might be a later version of Fen'Harel.....
I also thought that these legends could get it totally wrong, that probably his motivations were much more nuanced, so let's be careful what to think about them. Later the statue of Fen'Harel in the Temple of Mythal, and the revelation about Solas just proved it.
And oh yes, the last romance scene. When I made my elf character, I was a bit disappointed that I can't make her without any facial markings. And then Solas just makes an offer to remove it!
Damn. As if my brainwaves are somewhat connected to...well, someone in the Bioware team
Did you mean it was a hard decision to you to remove/not to remove the markings, or just the whole situation? If the latter, I agree. It was one of those moments when the possible reactions didn't contain those I would possibly choose. It's weird how disturbing it is to not be able to express our feelings properly, even it's only a videogame.
Yeah we kind of....go offtopic, but you guys seem to enjoy it too, and it doesn't hurt anyone. Plus, we didn't just simply brought in something irrelevant, the topic generated further thoughts, and so on. This weird thing called 'conversation' works in mysterious ways
I never notice these statues and all of those little details because sadly, I just want to get those fetch quests over and done with.
Ha lol. I do fetch quests exactly because it gives me an opportunity to observe little details even more.
Not that I would need it to do so. There's hardly a point on any map I didn't visit, even the damn roofs are having my footprints.
I know right, this Sera girl. I remember those moments well. In one second she likes something, next time...I can f*ck off according to her. *scratches head*
