I agree that there should have been an let him down easy option but I don't get why the people who goes "EWW he likes boys!" would care if they got disapproval from him.

 

I think they're like me in that they have to have every companion like them because of some weird compulsion that only appears in-game.  irl, idgaf about what people think of me.  But in DA, my attitude is basically, "I DON'T WANT MY COMPANIONS TO HATE ME!!    "

Ahh, many-a-time I reloaded DA:I just because I made Sera disapprove.

 

Honestly, I feel that BW should get rid of the notifications for approval changes simply because it makes me care too much about what they think of me rather than whatever decision I'm about to make.  Keep their approval and disapproval for my decisions, just don't notify me about it.

But getting back to approval... it sh*ts me off, sometimes. I feel like Sera has made me her b*tch, everything I do, I do for her. It's quite sad, really... in real life, I wouldn't stand for it. I'm actually lucky she isn't real.

I was the same way with Anders the first time around then I started to think **** it and studdently the romance actually became more intresting.

Well that's the beauty about DA:2... you can romance them even if they absolutely detest you.

 

Inquisition... not so much.

Well except for advisors (I actually made a femquizzy just to romance Cullen.)

Merrill's Rivalmance was pretty good.  Definitely better than her Friendmance.  I wouldn't mind getting the option to do Rivalmances again if they were done well.

I don't get why you don't receive approval/disapproval from advisors? It would make sense, considering they're sort of in charge. I would think that their opinion matters more than your companions.

Wasn't there a stigma towards male gamers who exclusively played as female characters in RPGs and romanced male characters with them?  I seem to remember there being one.
