Hello. I'm currently about 27 hrs into the game, level 11, and have noted how there are few armor sets. I'm wondering if there are significantly more armor sets at the higher levels?

I play a warrior, and was hoping for some sort of knight-type armor (similar to what is found in DA: Origins. All of the warrior armor I've seen so far looks like leather armor with a small metal chest piece. The helms also don't seem "knightish" with the exception of the Templar helm maybe.

Is there anything similar to the Juggernaught armor of DA:O?

Also, thus far all swords I've found are inferior in DPS to axes and maces. Does this change at higher levels?

You can craft some very good swords.

The armor options however are somewhat limited, probably as a result of having each individual armor set be so customizable. In DA:O and DA2 armor had no customization at all, so you get more options.

If you're looking to avoid warrior armors that include the leather coats, I think you want the scale-looking sets:

Most armors are trenchoats. <sadface>

There are a few other tough, Warden heavy armor, Orlaisian heavy armor, Legion of the Dead(dwarf only tough).

For mages, trenchcoats are a dramatic improvement though. They've spent two games trying to run around in skirts/gowns/call them what you will which are such a tight fit they should hardly be able to move at a fast walk, and as for climbing up cliffs, forget it. They also look just right in the Fallow Mire!

I can't say I'm completely happy with the Inquisitor's helm though. When you look down on the ground to find elfroot, it should stab you in the chest. I did think of trying to get Vivienne to wear it, but even I could not be so cruel. I quite like the scale armours, though it would be nice to have some which looked "lived in", with less of a gleam, bits missing and rust, especially after going into the Fallow Mire. (Yes, I have issues with the Fallow Mire, it is more than a little depressing, bringing back memories of Irish rain and Scottish haar.)

Yeah something more massive over the mail armor it's needed but the problem is not the number of sets or weapons but obtaining the schematics

Why can't we have some bad ass looking armours like the Sentinel armour from Awakening.

I don't know if they have somebody else working on armour design now but it's really gone down hill since Origins/Awakening. They should have hired the guy who created the pheonix armoury for females in Origins as those were a million times better than anything Bioware have created since. They all look like complete crap in Inquisition.

As for swords, there all crap as well.

8 million bloody daggers in the game and I'm yet to find a single decent 1 handed sword.

At this moment there is ONE tier 3 schematic for longswords.(there are 2 others but only way to get them is via cheat engine). It is a bloody shame.

Also there are some cool armors in multiplayer but not in SP ( eg Arishok armor)

I think the longsword schematic rarity is a bug.

Yeah I think so as well. I think that the same thing applies to Inquisition light/medium/heavy armor. You can cheat the schematics but otherwise they don't drop.

Yes! This is the infernal armor set that I see in game far too often :(

It's sad because we run around the world with our character occupying 20% of the screen for most of play time.

I've worn the warden heavy armor and helm since I got it early in game. So far it's the only nice looking warrior armor I can find or craft. I'm REALLY disappointed in the lack of variety with heavy armors. Plus the only arms/legs schematics I find, can only be used on the stupid coat looking armor from early game and nothing else.

Where are the schematics for the arms and legs in the picture above?
