It's just reinventing the wheel at the end of the day. Vivienne makes reforms to the Circle and does not get carried away. We're good.

Hopefully.

None of these endings give me much hope for the future.

We can agree on that.

If that was the case there wouldn't be near as many Templars in the lore, including prior games.

This limit of perspective is unique to DAI.

I ignored the rest of the rant because it isn't accurate or relevant.

Its not unique to DA:I, DA:I concludes the perspective. With how many Templars we talk actually? DA2 is pretty much Karras, a zealot, Thrask, apparently a traitor to the order and Keran, a simpleton. Meredith doesn't matter because she is demented. Some very minor ones exists as well but they are irrelevant.

And whether you ignore it or no, its the truth. Addicts shouldn't be policing anyone when they need policing themselves. Cassandra's new seekers are the force we need to invest into. The Templars have lost a lot of relevance by the end of DA:I anyhow.

Lulu if you ever stop using hyperbole gimme a shout.

Honestly it's just sad now, your view desperately trying to cling to relevance.

Doesn't matter if it's a load or not though apparently.

Reformed circles seem to be the way to go. Ostwick sounded pretty good--the mage PC was free to come and go to visit his family and wasn't oppressed in any way, as near as I can tell, although he wasn't chummy with the templars, either. At the same time, I don't think my mage pc wants to go back to that. The big issue, as always, is how does one keep an eye on mages for blood magic and abominationy behavior if they are scattered to the winds? You need templars as long as there are demons and you need to know what the mages are up to for them to be effective. Perhaps you make more circles which are smaller and let mages travel between them at will. Sort of a judgemental hotel. ;) I don't see templars being unnecessary as long as there are demons and blood magic.

Give me a shout when you leave your Lyrium pool. Your opinions screams "war veteran". So of course you would call it hyperbole. DA:I pretty much proves templars were never really needed and Seekers used them as expendables. I'm not sure a perspective is even needed.

You lose credibility when you exaggerate so much and declare you know the absolute truth, regardless of whether or not anyone denies it. I mean, why are you even continuing the discussion, or any discussion when you're not willing to change your mind?

They haven't given us the ending that restore Tevinter as the world's true master so I doubt it.

It's hyperbole because you literally just said that about ten thousand men, women, dwarves and elves.

Honestly for a social justice warrior you sure are judgemental.

Seems to me that Bio's ideal solution to this thing lies somewhere between Viv and Leliana, they will make that canon and put the issue to rest.

Personally, I am quite okay with meeting somewhere in the middle and being done with it.

I am also sick of it when they want us to solve problems where they clearly have their own preference for now and for the future.

Good lord. I honestly don't know what to do with the mage endings. I don't want Leliana on the throne cause she's way too revolutionary and I don't want a mage on the throne with Viv. Ideally, someone like Cass would be perfect for Divine, but I'd much rather her work on the Seekers exclusively.

I wish that they'd just given it to Giselle by default and been done with it.

I don't recall judging anything. You can't simply call something hyperbole out of blue without backing it up. Lyrium was not necessary to achieve Templar abilities and Tranquility always had a cure. The seekers pretty much used everyone and indoctrinated them and templars were just expendables they used for their agenda, specially with lies about how the fade and spirits work. Temlars were never necessary to begin with.

Fate of Thedas lies in the hands of Seekers reformed by Cassandra. And I want her to exclusively work on this so I don't make her divine.

This is my opinion however.

You forget your post or something?

It's right up there.

But if you need a refresher you said ten thousand plus people would forsake their holy mandate for lyrium.

Hyperbole.

I have a feeling Bioware is going to end up doing that.

Retcons are ahead.

Well, they could theoretically whack whoever you put on the throne, and have Giselle become the next Divine.

I said "many" and that can range from a lot of numbers. The addiction is serious and the Chantry really is on time in giving it. Like many addicts most of them forget what "holy" means when they are craving for their stuff.

Don't forget they did take red Lyrium, not all of them were tricked into it.

I didn't personally like her either, but I don't think the Inquisitor should have had any hand in choosing the next Divine. I honestly don't like any of the candidates that we are offered to place on the throne.

Well the forum's would have been truly aflame, being railroaded into that awful candidancy.
