Alas I cannot become President due to not being born here but I can still take political office in less grand fashion.

To be honest I'd rather be Secretary of state anyway.

Just looked it up, and it's a saying that certainly fits Master Warder.

Thank you.

I try to aspire to virtues of the principality at least in part.

Determination, Honor, Integrity, Martial strength, The collective good.

Those are no failings.

Pretty words, too bad the meaning behind them is utterly hollow.

No, what? The group you're extolling is essentially the Space Nazis, so don't talk to me about "honor" and "integrity".

Ah the typical Federation fan line.

Except they aren't.

They don't extoll a dogma of racial or cultural superiority, there aren't death camps, National socialism the very dogma of the party isn't even employed.

So how exactly are they "space Nazis"

Honestly you remind me of a feddy.

I didn't say the Federation was great, or even good, but they're still better than a group that wants to gas colonies and then drop them on enemy bases, regardless of civilian casualties.

Calling them Nazis was meant to get across how horrible they are.

The Federation is worse then Zeon ever thought about being.

Also so you basically admit you used that hyperbole for shock value.

Just drop it Warder; This got out of hand and we derailed the thread, so lets just move on and get back on track.

The verbal sparring was a bit fun though.

I am a fan of putting Leliana on the sunburst throne because I think it is a friendlier approach to controlling mages. Imo, part of the reason mages become maleficarum is because from a young age they are told they are dangerous and have to be controlled. When this idea is instilled in them as children, some begin to embrace it and become defiant towards the circle. I think the college is a good way to teach mages about the dangers of magic and how to control it without making them feel negatively about themselves. And once they master their studies they can graduate and be free to live their lives as they choose rather than be condemned to a life of imprisonment in a circle tower on a stroke of fate.

Well this is interesting the Bright Hand can also be form with Leliana as Divine.

But Leliana would probably use them like Michael Corleone uses his 'family'. Anyone that disagrees with her policies will have an offered made that they can't refuse.

Cassandra is the people's Divine tbh.

Except Leliana's version of the Bright Hand stays with the Inquisition...

And the Inquisition serves the Divine. You're not honestly one of those people that thinks otherwise, are you?

If the Inquisition served the Divine, explain how the endings where Cass or Vivienne hate the inquisitor occur. Don't forget that if Leliana is softened, she says that she won't need the Inquisition's army while if she is hardened, she says she will need your advice, not that you are her subordinate. The Inquisition isn't an arm of the chantry. That was made clear at the start of the game. We can be allies of the chantry but we aren't part of the chantry.

And just like Congress agreeing with the President is not necessary for him to lead them, thus does this occur. The Inquisition is either going to serve the Divine like everyone else, or be heretical, leading to war. But as I doubt any approval based ending will transfer to the next game, I really don't care.

"And because Leliana told me something, it's not only true, it's basically law. Who cares that literally all evidence is to the contrary, who cares that everyone in the Inquisition suggests that they serve the Divine, including Leliana, and who cares that every other organization in Thedas is bound to a Divine? Leliana told me otherwise, and the endings that have the Inquisition being used by the Divine? Never happened. That was my choice."

Mind telling me why a non-believing Inquisitor would agree to serve the Chantry? Cass, Vivienne, and Leliana never give any indication that we are now part of the Chantry and have to do whatever they say, it's more that the Inquisition is an independent power that helps out the Chantry but not actually part of the Chantry like the Templars. For instance, if the Inquisition was already part of the chantry as you claim, why do the Templars leave one part of the chantry to become part of the chantry? Don't forget we can tell the chantry mother who tells us about Leliana or Cass becoming divine to essentially screw off. Would we be able to say that if we were part of the chantry?
