I LOVE hardened Leliana. Her ending is more believable than softened Leliana, if you kill the right people at the right time (which happen to be zealots and extremists) much can happen, for the good of Thedas.

Yea... I have an issue with the whole "the halls of the chantry run with blood" thing. She basically goes psycho at the end. I can't help but feel like having her hardened is just setting up another person with the mantra "any cost is worth accomplishing task which I want to accomplish" in power. And that's all around bad. Hardened Leliana as Divine seems to be setting up another potential for great evil to be done in the name of good... again.

Leaders of sect who want to oppose her trying to do good deserve to be put down. Though I bet she only kills if intrigues and threats fail first.

You can take it to mean that, but there's no reason to believe she doesn't just go "oh they oppose me, they die". Like I said, the whole thing about the halls of the chantry running with blood paints a negative picture. And yea people who oppose her doing good should be taken care, I highly doubt every single one of them needs to be killed though.

If my male qunari was made divine I would cut off the head of one of the opposition in front of everyone during my coronation to make a point. If I heard rumors of people plotting against me I would fill the halls with their blood. It's best to cut off the infection immediately before it spreads. I imagined her to do something like that, minus the head chopping part.

I was disappointed with my last play through ending with Cassandra as Divine. Even though I softened Leliana and chose to support her as the next Divine. Felt like a let down considering the whole point of the play through was to bring about as much reform as I could. With Cassandra my ending seemed to leave things at a status quo sort of state. Seemed to really negate everything I tried to accomplish.

Oh well lessons learned for the next play through.

Eh, Vivienne is the status quo option. Cass is a moderate between Lelianna's radical changes and Vivianne's lack of progression. I'm trying to get softened Lelianna for my current playthrough and I am worried I'll end up with Cass again too. The whole process is a bit convoluted and relies on a lot of combinations of choices.

Hardened Leliana makes more sense to me than softened, given the historical period that forms the basis for Thedas: the late Renaissance/early Reformation. This was the world of the Borgias, the de Medicis, Machiavelli, and Ezio Auditore da Firenze. It's the kind of world where you can't make an omelette without breaking a few eggs, and hardened Leli fits right into that. Besides, when hardened, she is a classic femme fatale, and what's not to like about that?

I've read of similar things happening to many others. Firstly, Vivienne became Divine although I didn't support her whereas I did support Leliana. Secondly the slide with Morrigan leaving showed her alone, according to DA Wiki she's either alone or with Kieran in that slide. She quite obviously had her boy by the end, dunno what's up with that.

I don't always rant but when I do it's for good reason, any ideas on this guys?

Just because you lend your support to a specific candidate, doesn't mean they're guaranteed the position. The Chantry, not the Inquisition, decides who will become the Divine. I supported Cassandra after much hesitation, and was shocked to see Madame de Fer came out on top. Not disappointed, but very shocked.

I hear that lack of Kieran slide is a bug.

What choices did you make? Were you generally anti-chantry? Did you ally with the mages or conscript the templars since those are the choices that support Leliana.

In all conversations you have to say "Free Mages", "The Chantry is not doing it's job",  "Purge the Chantry folks",

Reunite Briala with Celene or Gaspard as Briala's pet. Then you'll get Leliana for sure. + Support Leliana in conversation..

All irrelevant. Tell Leliana you'll support her, Tell Vivienne to gtfo and tell her you will support leliana which will cause inevitable approval lost, tell Cassandra she is not divine material and should focus on seekers. When talking with Leliana after completing her quest choose the crown icon dialogue "I will support you as divine". Done.

Nice try though.

Morrigan was alone in my slide too even though she had Kieran, must be a bug.

Free mages, Leliana as the Divine and rebuild Grey Wardens. Best epilogue.

I felt bad for the Templars so no I told them to ally with us, I believe that even if the Circles are abolished the Templars can still exist as an order and can protect the common folk of Thedas. I'm thinking I'll do a mage Inquisitor (obviously pro-mage) I'll tell Viv to **** off with her useless circles and have Leliana become divine. Then I'll do a pro-Templar Inquisitor that will support Cassandra as Divine because she respects the Seekers/Templars and is the moderated choice imo.

That Keiran bug must be from patch 2, I had a playthrough where she had the boy and the epilogue showed both of them leaving.

She didn't have Kieran in my first epilogue either.

And that was before patch 2.
