There is a lot of great talent out there in the community and I think Bioware should consider tapping into this - it may also strengthen 'buy-in' from the community in their projects, help them involve the best talent out there and give them access to a massive pool of innovation and inspiration for their own work.

I would like to recommend Bioware run more competitions among the community - eg: design a space freighter, or design a small colony outpost on an alien planet, or design a level of a commercial space station, design two interesting characters on a space dock and write a 30-second conversation, or draw a one page fan comic set 1000 years after the Reaper War at an archaeological dig site, etc. Bioware designers give the specs and requirements and community members can submit their designs and perhaps win Origin Store Points and such.

The prizes needn't be huge, but it is a good way to scout for talent and build community links, and perhaps get innovative ideas from the community which the Bioware team can work with.

Just an idea to help the development of the new ME games planned. What kind of competitions would you like to see run by Bioware?

That'd be cool. I'd like to see the sort of communication between devs and fans we see on elderscrollsonline.com, fan fiction and art competitions among other activities.

I support this, the contest for Inquisition movie poster was awesome and I'd love to see more! :)
