Damage immunity 100%?

Am I correct in thinking that, for example, 1 Willpower = 0.5% Magic defense that if I get 200 Willpower I will be immune to Magic attacks.  Likewise 200 Cunning = Ranged immunity and 200 Constitution = Melee immunity.  Or is it worked out on a diminishing curve basis.

However, the stats from promotions are rumoured to cap at 99.

afaik in singleplayer the cap for immunities is 80% (I had a full fire resi armor with 100% resi and the menue only told me 80%). So I would guess they also cap at 80% in mp. But I have no proof for that =D

I salute that brave and incredibly bored person who checks this hypothesis out. Considering armour in MP does not get even close to SP numbers, melee/ranged defence stats could prove much more useful.

So, basically, you have to promote 200 mages, rogues, and warriors so that they'd all be immune to damage dealt by enemies.  Yep, sounds like something that'd knowingly be included in-game.

I'd be inclined to say it's 80% too. In SP, all resistances (magic, melee, ranged, fire, cold, etc.) top at 80%. Since everything in MP seems to work the same way as SP, it'll be a good guess.

Actually a bioware game..especially one made by the person in charge of DAMP?  I absolutely believe it 100%  I am being completely serious too.

 

****, they can't even stop giving you healing potions when they cap at 255......

Health potions dont cap at 255, it just stops listing more of them.  It does the same for crafting materials as well.  

 

I dont really know why...

I would love to know if that is true, doubt anyone outside of cheaters have any stat promoted up to 99 though.

Yeah screw the "let's promote a million times" crap. Takes the fun out of the game IMO.
