Since we can hold 2 daggers, I was hoping someone could help me understand how and when their abilities stack.

What I have noticed so far is that if I have a +Heal on hit dagger in one hand, both dagger attacks heal me.  Also if I have one dagger with AOE damage, both dagger hits will use AOE.  I assume this make using two AOE daggers a bit pointless?

However, if I have two daggers with +Heal, the heal rate does not appear to be doubled.

Does it matter witch dagger goes in which hand for most stats?  Are other stats on the dagger, like attack or crit percentage also shared?  Which abilities stack and witch dont?

It almost seems that abilities on weapon are applied to the character and not the weapon itself.  I saw this on alchemist when my +Heal dagger game my bombs healing ability.

If I am making grips, should I do one with crit up and one with crit percentage up?  Or do they stack?

Wouldn't an AOE dagger always be better than an equal DPS single hit dagger?

I appreciate any advice or insights.

Main-hand dagger determines the attack type, if it is AoE, it will use the jumping around AoE attack, it it's single, it'll use the standing jabs.  Note that weapons that aren't AoE can still hit more than one enemy (not just daggers), it's just less likely with their narrow animations.

Bonus stats benefit both daggers.

Grips stack.

Single target daggers have higher damage than comparable AoE daggers, making them preferable for assassinating things.

Do they really? Keep in mind, ability damage scales off actual main-hand weapon damage, not DPS. I've never compared the damage difference between the dagger types, so this is an honest question.

Level 20 rare single 113 damage, level 21 rare AoE 88 damage.

What about elemental runes?

I currently have a Master Lightning in the main hand, and a Fire Rune in the off hand.

How do they impact the damage overall? Do they apply their bonus only when the relevant hand strikes, or is there some formula?

Rune damage is tied to the specific weapon itself hitting.  If I miss an attack with my main hand electric dagger and hit with my off-hand cold dagger, I'll only see blue elemental damage.
