Old or not the Dragon Age metaphysically kicked off when Loghain beat the Orlesians at River Dane. It's only fair that he see the series to it's conclusion.

And Stroud's Mustache is more proactive than Hawke, And someone needs to see the Warden story arc to it's conclusion and it shouldn't be Hawke unless he takes the Joining.

Golden Boy is Golden Boy.

I'm skeptical if Loghain will see it but if he does, then yes I agree. He should see the conclusion.

Tbh I still don't understand how the dragon gave him the ability to transfer his essence as archdemons do (the dragon isn't an archdemon). However if you watch the scene it looks like you open a rift inside him, not only that but your power must have been amplified by the foci (I don't know the singular form of the word xD) in your hand. I do believe it's the safer bet, because I doubt there'd be a random Darkspawn or Grey Warden in the Fade where you sent his obliterated remains.

Uh....Houston we have a problem!   I left a living Warden in the Fade, body and spirit. Everyone assumed he  was killed by the super demon there, but...hmmmm!

Flemeth isn't an archdemon either, and you can attempt to shank her in Origins, only to have her pop back into reality in DA2.

I don't think the dragon is the important part, I think the dragon is just the vessel or the phylactery; like the amulet Hawke carries is Flemeth's. Corypheus just picked a dragon because he's an arsehole like that.

Well I suppose I will buy that the opening a rift in him killed Corypheus for the sake of the plot, but I think they should have showed it off better. All happened really quick, like we literally saw his face melt before he came back to life in the ruins. Give me some face melting for the final death.

I actually think this is a good point, but people will likely say that if we're assuming our Grey Warden friend isn't dead then Cory dies in the Fade, jumps back out of the Warden and dies in the Fade again? idk, but I think this is a case worth thinking about.

Like the games crafting system, the topic of Cory's immortality is confusing. I don't understand how him taking back his essence from a dragon makes him less immortal. It says it disrupts his ability to body jump, but how? Explain please.

And I see people throwing around the warden we left in the fade. Coincidence? I think not!

I just thought of something weird here. Cory has the taint so when he's 'killed' his life essence moves to another entity (alive or dead) that carries the taint and he'll just burst out of it looking like himself again (somehow). In DAI we discover that Lyrium is alive, doesn't that theoretically meany Cory can just transfer to any nearby Red Lyrium (because that ****'s everywhere on the surface) and burst out of it?

That's my thought as well.

And red lyrium is in the fade as well.

Cory will be back.

Was anyone else hoping for an epic showdown in the Black City? Like we had to, at the last moment, yank him away from becoming a God or something? That would have been some fun tension. Rather than him knocking on Skyhold's front door for the last "battle".

Cory: Can the Inquisitor come out to fight me? K thanks.

JK Rowling did not invent the idea of plylacteries. They have been a staple of the fantasy genre for years.

Yeah phylacteries were in the pen&paper D&D before any video games. And I think there was an old Conan short story about a wizard in a tower too who gets reborn through a vessel filled with his blood.

The idea is that he can rebirth himself out of something nearby (seemed like a proximity thing since in the Elven temple he chooses to keep his Grey Wardens close rather than his Venatori) that has the taint, so a darkspawn or a Grey Warden would work. Unless Lyrium is mentioned to have some taint in it, then I don't think he could do that.
