Alexander was an angry drunk who occasionally murdered friends.
I think as far as the great conquerors of history go, Julius Caesar would be better choice for a chat. Even some of his enemies praised him for his wit, sense of humor, and charisma. And unlike Alexander he wasn't an alcoholic known for violent temper tantrums.
Speaking of, I'd like to speak to Marcus Junius Brutus.

Simple: hide the booze, and don't become friends with him!

Good answer, his career path (for lack of a better phrase,) has always fascinated me.
As for me, I'd choose Mata Hari.

Cleopatra...beautiful, powerful. spend my time in a barge on the Nile
Good choice.
She had some of the most powerful men of that era wrapped around her pinky. It would be interesting to see what all the fuss was about. Also, I love Plutarch's description of her:
For her actual beauty, it is said, was not in itself so remarkable that none could be compared with her, or that no one could see her without being struck by it, but the contact of her presence, if you lived with her, was irresistible; the attraction of her person, joining with the charm of her conversation, and the character that attended all she said or did, was something bewitching. It was a pleasure merely to hear the sound of her voice, with which, like an instrument of many strings, she could pass from one language to another; so that there were few of the barbarian nations that she answered by an interpreter; to most of them she spoke herself, as to the Ethiopians, Troglodytes, Hebrews, Arabians, Syrians, Medes, Parthians, and many others, whose language she had learnt; which was all the more surprising because most of the kings, her predecessors, scarcely gave themselves the trouble to acquire the Egyptian tongue, and several of them quite abandoned the Macedonian.

I really wouldn't know where to start... out of all those people I would probably choose Socrates. Wearing a stola and strolling through the streets of ancient Athens while discussing philosophy... I have thought about that ever since reading Sophie's World for the first time.
Or Mozart... there is hardly anyone's genius I admire as much as his.

You could just as easily call Julius Ceaser a promiscuous egomaniac...
The guys sex life is well documented and littered with all kinds of perversions, adulteries, and diseases. Then in his later years, he seized Rome (a democratic nation) by military force and declared himself emperor in all but name and in the process of doing so he humiliated and killed his lifelong friend Pompey Magnus.
Don't get me wrong, I would love to speak to Ceaser nearly as much as I would Alexander but to dismiss Alexander as an angry drunk is just silly. The world is full of ugly things and everyone has a dark side, that doesn't change what Alexander accomplished.

Since I can't figure out any way to use this time for material profits, I guess I'd sleep with a celebrity.
That's kind of assuming that they will just sleep with a complete stranger...

Well, first I wanted to say George Washington, then I wanted to say Ben Franklin, then Tesla, then General Patton.
Eventually decided to go with Leonardo Da Vinci. I mean, he drew up the blueprints for tanks, planes, helicopters, scuba gear- hell, even robots! Would be very interesting to see how he came up with all that back during the Renaissance.

True, but I'm a military history buff and I like strategy, and he's my favorite general from WWII. Not to mention that it'd be interesting to learn his side of the series of 'incidents' leading to his death.
But yeah, Leonardo tops him on who I'd like to meet. ![]()

There's a lot of names I want to say but I'd probably try to run away after a few hours, or be intimidated into silence... or annoyed into attacking them even though the OP said that is not allowed. These names include Alexander the Great, Julius Caesar, Nero, Hannibal (would go skiing with him in the Alps because haha)... and yes, Socrates as well. Having debates with him wouldn't be fun at all, just saying.
Leonardo Da Vinci would be cool, but I probably wouldn't be able to keep up with his intellect. And then there's the shallow option of going for a beautiful and desirable woman like Cleopatra... but c'mon, I don't want to be that shallow here. Plus, who says the person of my choosing would want to have sex with me? Hahaha I'm laughing at the very idea. But if Emilia Clarke would be-
So I'll have to go with oh man this is hard why OP why George R.R. Martin. Because I want to hear everything about the world he's created. I was gonna go with J.R.R Tolkien, but I'm not sure... what he'd be like. I can get a pretty good picture of what Martin's like from what I've seen of his conversations on YouTube and whatnot. Anyway. The setting would, of course, be a wedding.
