Caligula would be good too, just to find out if all the crazy stuff written about him was true

My grandpa.

But if I'm picking someone cool to pick their brain, Genghis Khan.  Read a biography on vacation a year or two ago.  Totally not beach reading, but I couldn't put it down.  Fascinating guy.

Ha! Caligula's a pretty good idea.  Nero too for that matter.  Nutty Romans...

WHERE TO EVEN BEGIN.

Yeah, I can't really chose one single individual I would like to be stuck with, since there are far too many, but if I really had to choose one I would go with Muhammad.

Religion aside, having the chance to sit down with the man who in a very short amount of time created a state from scratch, an army from zero and a culture inspired and well-guided enough to very quickly establish itself as a great civilization, would without a doubt be a very interesting individual to discuss with a lot of things that peeks my interest.

I don't know... he had twelve of his bro's with him for three years and they still seemed to have their doubts for a while.

Doubts about what? The tales of him being God were forged decades afterwards and even during the early centuries, you had many Christians (Arians) who didn't believe in the trinity until the Church declared their belief heresy and condemned it. Jesus never once declared himself to be God.

"I am who you say I am." Statement of divinity or existential commentary on public perception?

Jesus only ever said that in response to people asking if he was the messiah. Not God.

What god feels the need to pray to themselves?

So it seems like you are debating the legitimacy of the concept of the Trinity, not that Jesus was the messiah. My original response was that his disciples seemed a little confused/unsure if he was even that after three years.

I am Jesus. But the world ain't ready for me. I am patient has god was patient with me. Don't worry my son. Pray all day and don't masturbate than all should be fine.

If they were unsure of anything, they were unsure if he was a prophet, reincarnation of Elijah or the Messiah. Understandable since Jesus was quite cryptic. None doubted that he was a great person though since they continued to follow him.

Couldn't fool me Richard DEWkins.

Yet doubt was exactly what I was responding to:

Jesus. I'd imagine two days with Jesus would erase doubt, one way or another.

my mom right after I was born. I would look up the largest lotteries in that time period till present (just to be specific i mean the lotto numbers themselves and dates), and hand them to her, kiss her on the forehead and tell her merry christmas, and send her back to her time. Can I do that? I would also tell her to invest in Apple.

If there was doubt from the disciples, it was different from our doubt. They are said to be witnesses to his miracles and did not doubt them. We haven't seen his miracles so FrogDog is coming at it from that perceptive wondering about the miracles (quite clearly) rather than the perceptive of a questioning theologian who believes in the miracles but who is wondering if Jesus is God, a prophet or an angel.

Ok I have to ask. Why?

Why? I'd like to talk to the man that was director of the laboratory that designed the only man-made device that has the potential to destroy the planet we all live on. I'd want to know how he'd feel about it now and how knowing what he help created affected/affects him, especially today.

All of these political leaders, conquerors, generals etc. had their time and died. So did Oppenheimer, but the atomic bomb is eternal, and that is horrifying. That's why I'd want to speak to him.

These feats still resonate today. Roman generals are responsible for the influence Latin has had on the languages we use right now, for one. Greek and Roman architecture (and other things) visibly influence what we've built since. If neither of these civilizations had had their gifted military leaders, there's no guarantee that their cultural legacy would reach us. And there's a lot more examples to be mentioned out there.

Don't discount their accomplishments because they're not as easily visible as the Manhattan Project.
