Hey all,

Quick question about PC Controls.  I started playing DA:I on my PS4 and I mostly set up combat through the tactical pause, and then did (R2) to go through the battle in "slow-motion" or slow advance.  I cant seem to figure out how to do this using mouse and keyboard on the PC, if anyone coudl explain it would be much appreciated.

Thanks!!

^^^ Yeah, good luck with that one.  Us PC-gamers are still waiting for the KB+M controls to be fixed...hopefully that'll arrive with this mythical "Patch 3" that I've heard about.  In other words, it's a horrid (control) experience right now for the PC.  I'm almost out of patience, as I've shelved the game and am moving on (to Divinty:Original Sin)...

Right now you have stop and go for speeds, that's it unless you're mounted, then you get a fast speed. Only cure is to use a controller on the computer but, some of do not wish to do that so, we wait for a patch of the failed controls and, do the best we can as it is until then.

my control scheme will help you on pc. Things you should know is that there's a lot of work around is to give controller half a chance. There's no slow advance because in pc I have access to every single command at once. There's no handi-cap. Because there's a radial menu they make it possible to slow things down while you access half the game without a dead stop. Much like an fps game where you would be dead in the water without an aiming assist pc players value the skill lvl required of mastery. That being said the default controls are wonky. They don't support the home row ideal of a directionally controlled player. I would ask you to redesign your control scheme like I've had up there for a while now. People find it hard because frankly 34 combat commands is like learning to type all over again. Sink or swim my friends... your tears amount to dumbing down the game.

That's not saying there aren't problems. First, there is no walk feature on pc. This could have been easily remedied by dual purposing the sprint key to toggle run walk. Ideas like this get lost because the general pop won't even bring themselves to that point. I honestly am surprised that I've not been approached by the devs in my UI attempts. I think making it formal would have been a done deal on the subject. If I had the hardware to make youtube with any quality the results you'd find are amazing. I can produce cinematic camera controls with full tactical and 3rd person dominance. Not only that I have access to every command in the game within my home row and mouse in logical order which means the hud is eye candy.

It's hard. People don't want to learn they cry because it's not witcher 2 before they even look at re-mapping any of their own keys.

This FOE character shelved the game. Unfortunately this is the problem with the pc format in general. Since the days of CS 1.6 and up pc has been the end game for skillsets. You get game franchises like COD that want to give accessibility at the cost of the highest end of mastery and precision. People buy pc and want it to become a console. If they'd take the time to work at something they might develop. We're going to see any future iteration of the game bending to their lack of ability or determination. Dragon Age 4 with all your tears will be 1 button and a straw so nobody has to actually be good at anything at all. YAY.
