This is the 7th hair color from the left on the slider. It's supposed to be black, but it looks like a weird blue/grey hue. I turned my mesh setting to high in order to get rid of the absurdly shiny coiffures. Is there something else I should tinker with in order to make it look like regular black hair? According to http://imgur.com/a/eKENX it should look a lot darker than this... I'm seeing some screenshots of inquisitors who have hair that looks black, though it may just be the darkest brown color appearing black in some lighting.

Only way I've found to make that color loook truly black is to turn the Gamma down but, then it's too dark in most of the game to see much.

In reference to mine, I do use SweetFX so that cuts out A LOT of red from the vanilla game. It also ups the contrast, which will deepen the color. The 7th color is the closest you're going to get to black. To be honest, I think it's a nice natural looking black. Black hair can appear different in different light. My hair can range from chromatic raven's wing to blue-black to red-streaked depending on what light I'm in. I actually love that the game takes lighting into account.

Dragon Age has never really had true black hair, not until the modding community had redone the hair shaders for

the developers. That's why I'm praying that they will give the modders something to work with really soon.

I used Cheat Engine to make my character's hair black. It's a bit of a hassle, but I like the way it looks. I also have SweetFX.

Character:

You'll need Cheat Engine: http://forum.cheaten...ic.php?t=578120

and you need the HairRecolor table by LegionoftheLiving: http://forum.cheaten...5569310#5569310

You need to follow the instructions in order for it to work. Good luck!

Personally I would recommend more Cheat Engine.Only reason is that SweetFx seems to mess up with my fullscreen and gives me directx errors that I never had before(so I deleted that mod, because thank you very much I prefer my fullscreen with 0 problems rather then some mod that makes it look better but $cres my fullscreen up).

Sadly if you are playing on consoles...then hope that in some future patch BW actually makes it more dark.

That's weird. What OS are you using? I use SweetFX via RadeonPro with Win 8.1 and haven't had a single problem.

Hmmm, no idea. I use fullscreen most of the time since I use Shadowplay a lot. But I switch to windowed any time I need to take screenshots. Neither way gives me dx errors.

Just grasping at straws, but have you tried re-installing directx?
