End  is a Mission in Dragon Age 3. You can initiate it via the War Table.

  • Power & Time Cost: 0 Power, 240 Min.
  • Requirements: You must be a Rogue Inquisitor with the Assassin specialization and your Inquisition must be at least Rank of 8.

"There is a Lady, sitting amidst the tattered splendor of her nobility. Her only legacy is an ancient name, high and esteemed. She may restore wealth and dignity to her line by marrying the man whom she was promised at birth. He is prosperous and powerful, but leaves her cold.

The lady sits by her casement and gazes at the soldier who truly has her heart. She prays to the Maker for deliverance. She prays for intervention, a sudden knife, and we hear her cry.

How will the Maker's instrument strike? Will she strike? A knot for the Herald to unravel.

Hier"

Actions:

Josephine: If the Lady requests an assassin, it is not for us to say she should not. The contract is between her and those she has hired

Leliana: Let the Lady Marry her betrothed. Then strike at him as she asks. She gains wealth, her true love, and we earn her gratitude.

Cullen: What ridiculous game is this? Is killing for Love better or worse than killing for power? The inquisition does not serve the romantic whims of nobles?

I'm not really asking what to do, more just what the hell is this quest. Feels really random. I'm either going with Cullen or ignoring it entirely. Anyone else come across this?

You get a wartable mission for each of your specializations.  For Champions it's to throw a party for Lord Chancer, for Heir it's to assassinate someone, for Commander Helaine its to send aid to troops behind enemy lines.

You are an Assassin, your assassin trainer, Heir, is sending you a contract.

Cullen's advice on Sera's missions is great, basically "What is this? I don't even..?"

You're an assassin, Heir is your mentor. She sends you information about a situation involving a destitute noblewoman who is engaged to a wealthy man, but in love with a poor soldier. Presumably, the suggestion is that it might be beneficial to kill the nobleman after the wedding, allowing the woman to be with her love and keep her husband's wealth.

You can give her access to assassins and let the noblewoman do whatever she eventually decides (Josephine), you can perform the assassination yourself and gain the support of the noblewoman (Leliana), or you can stay out of the whole affair (Cullen).

Cullen's absolute best to me is his advice for the tavern bard's war table mission.

No. This is ridiculous.

Kinda crazy how starkly Leliana's advice contrasts with his. She advises cutting the other bard's tongue out. Girl's got a few issues.

You only throw a party if you choose Cullen. Although who wouldn't throw a party right? :P I think the exact lines were about a boar with an apple in its mouth or something.

Huh. That kind of reminds me of Alindra, actually. Everyone's advice is just spot-on regardless.

I love almost all of Cullen's advice though, really. "I'm sorry, did we embarrass a duchess at a soiree by stepping on her gown or was the sky torn open by an ancient darkspawn magister?"

Yeah, his advice was pretty golden. I generally went for diplomacy for a lot of war table missions, but Cullen's commentary is the best part of it. I always use him for the noble that wants to get refugees and such off his land though. I greatly enjoy that it really peeves that guy to have my forces help the refugees instead, at Cullen's advice.

Playing as a mage so didn't see this, but Leliana's advice certainly seems like the best, particularly from the perspective of what's best for the Inquisition.

got it thanks everyone.

I know my character is an Assassin but this still feels wrong. My guys more on the up and up. I don't see this as a big benefit either way to the Inquisition so I'm still leaning Cullen or ignore.

This was the most confusing decision after Cole's decision.

It didn't occur to me until my second playthrough that this mission was class/spec specific.

I caught onto that early because I didn't even bother with a specialization until my fourth playthrough and Commander Helaine likes to talk in the third person. Not exactly, but I'm pretty sure she got her name in there at least twice, and also said 'Knight-Enchanter' as many times, if not more, in the note. This Heir/Assassin connection sounds rather subtle in comparison. But knowing most of what I should expect off the table helped, I'm sure. xD

It's given by your assassin trainer and it has the Assassin specialisation icon at the top of the description, though.

The Lelianna in DAI scares me.

Cullen does ignore it. So you can use him and it just goes away. It's like aforementioned Cullen and the Bard's wartable mission, "No. This is ridiculous." He will take 10 minutes to do nothing and then it goes away.

Cullen's advice on one of the mission is to "withdraw lyrium" as a form of interrogation, don't remember which mission was it, but in that mission Leliana actually is very mild in comparison.

I like  how when you send him march for Sera and in the end there are some beneficial treaties because of it he is all "Don't tell Sera!"

no just tho job in particular. And it wasn't clear to me. I go through a lot of quests. And between work and travel I can't sit down and play this for a few days straight I play in little increments when I can.  I didn't remember my trainers name or recall much about her. Nor did I realize specialization's got quests. This was worded vaguely too. First two paragraphs are about some ladies first world problems. It makes sense now but one I first read this I had no idea what it was about.

And now that I understand the west it still seems a little dumb. Is assassination really the first option she can come up with? My inquisitor can't be bothered with such petty  worries. Assassinating a tyrant a slaver, or someone that stands in opposition to the Inquisition is up my guys ally.

This is some foolishness you see people get busted by undercover cops for. Not for me.
